Crossroads...
We are going on 6 months since completion.
- Going on cv #3
- OTRE's need replacing
- LBJ's are both practically new in age, but they feel 5 years old now
- Horrible noises in the front diff (suspect tooth damage)
I've loved every minute of 4wd, but I am quickly realizing the limitations I am faced with.... I drove out to the back side of the property to do some thinking ...

Decision:
I could have continued the design of my front arms, remedy the LBJ problem, switch to heim steering and overall some things will be improved. The reality is that I have a rust free Toyota 8" front axle housing that I have worked on stretching to match a while ago, thanks to a member on Pirate.... I have an 8" 3rd member.... I have coilovers to run.... I have made towers that will work with either IFS or SFA... I have
two gear driven, top-shift cases sitting on my bench torn down for the install of a doubler that I
thought would be for a chain case install... I have link mounts and material for the 3 link rear I have prepared to do this winter... All to say-
I think I will be switching to a more durable solution as a result of the INSANE amount of wear and tear on this IFS setup in just 6 months.... so much work done and I've loved every bit of it, but this is pretty unsustainable and I'm not a big fan of LT for our East Coast 4wd tracks....
3 Link front, Hi-steer, Coilovers & bulletproof internals.....
Don't hate me... plz.

P.S. Can I stay here?
