CDC just set guidance to 500k deaths by mid-Feb. Since LA area is by far the worse in the US right now I'd be expecting the daily numbers there to go up not down. It is what it is man. Keep doing your job and see a shrink if you need too. I'm sure that a lot of hospital front line workers are going to be dealing with PTSD from COVID for years to come. Your not gonna be alone in loosing that sunny side.

My 2020 bonus check was taxed almost 50%!!! This world is ridiculous man. Taxing is just stealing from us at this point.
I went exempt on my last bonus check just to avoid the tax that get's taken out. In reality it isn't actually taxed that much at the end of the year. It's all based on your marginal tax bracket, so if you had 40% of your bonus taken out for taxes, then that will eventually work itself out when you file your taxes. Bonus isn't actually taxed higher and we all seem to think. It's just the way payroll does their accounting based on the total income in that pay period. Short term it sucks, but long term it'll work out the same as any other type of income. I asked my employer to separate the bonus as a separate check and go exempt on that check only.

I would usually go exempt between June 1 - Sept 1. They usuallly lifted our OT restrictions and the amount of inbound calls basically meant a guaranteed capped bonus for those months.
It was enough of an offset to usually break even with Uncle Sam and if it went over it wasn’t more than $500.

How else do you think the Gobment gonna pay fo gender studies in other countries. You ain’t seen nothing yet. Wait till they start bailing out the blue states.

Hell yeah! I can’t wait until they cut California that $2trillion check AND then they raise our taxes to 56% like they’re saying is only going to effect those who are smart enough to make 4x as much as I but who were also smart enough to leave so they didn’t have to get stuck with that bill.
