Finally took a front shock apart.

Few things off the bat. My oil was dirty as fuck. I doubt I have even have 20k total miles, at least half dirt.

I have two spacers internally, which we believe is costing some travel.

Flutter shim on the compression stack (right side set)

And my compression shims are all over the fucking place.

Looks like a progressive stack. I have a similar stack on mine with the shims progressing in thickness as it gets further from the piston.

Gonna call ADS on Monday about the spacers and recommendations on shim stacks. See if I can't get a better baseline before the next trip.

Those spacers are usually there for a reason.
1) to not over extend the CV’s and cause binding
2) keeps the piston further up in the shock body, which keeps less side loading on the shaft, seals, and wear bands.

Looks like they try to valve for a more “linear” setup which is what most off road shocks try to do unless you are icon.

Probably also so they can use a standard 8in shock body instead of a bespoke size to get the OEM fit

Okay redid my numbers using inches. Here's what I came up with for my baseline.

.008 - 1.75
.008 - 1
.008 - 1.75
.008 - 1.6
.008 - 1.5
.012 - 1.3
.012 - 1.15
.0015 - 1

Front shocks rebound

.02 - 1.74
.02 - 1.6
.015 - 1.45
.014 (.015?) -1.3
.015 - 1.15
.015 - 1

Rear shocks compression

.008 - 1.75
.008 - 1
.012 - 1.75
.012 - 1.6
.012 - 1.45
.012 - 1.3
.012 - 1.15
.012 - 1
.02 - .085

Rear rebound
.010 - 1.75
.010 - 1.6
.010 - 1.45
.010 - 1.3
.010 - 1.15
.010 - 1

I should have measured @Bastek 's valve stack when we had it apart yesterday, but I think it was .12 and .15 for most of the stack with a single flutter.

Yeah it would be nice to see what some other people are running and how it works with their build. Gonna dig into @Itaro shocks at some point and do his too at some point. I could probably bump the front up to a 10/12 stack and the rear to 12/15 stack.
