Crazy that there is an entire forum to discuss engine oils. I get there are differences, but I don’t think the differences are enough for me to worry about it in my low powered Toyota engine. As long as it’s decent oil and the right spec, I don’t think my engines will care. In a high performance engine it might matter. Just my two cents.

pretty much. unless you need dino oil, then full synth from any of the well known brands is fine. I couldn't leave well enough alone and read too much but always been a Mobil1 or Valvoline fan. Additives I only trust liqui moly because in Germany, there are awesome consumer protection laws that make sure product claims are valid. you say your product does xyz and doesn't, you are in trouble.

So my wife got her purse stolen from my 4runner over the weekend while we were at a friends house. We were in a nicer end, secluded neighborhood with like 6 houses on the street (all very nice homes on big properties). We were there for like 4 hours and most of the time we were hanging out on the front port except when we went inside to eat pizza.
During that time someone walked up the driveway and door checked our car (we were dumb enough to leave it unlocked). Sure as shit, her purse was on the floor. It had the only key to our Lexus in the purse, along with her wallet and other random shit.

Even with my friend not charging us labor cost, it still cost $525 to flash the system, buy a new key and program the new key. Fuck that sucked.

Ouch. Back in college I took one of my ex's to the movies. She was going to leave her wallet in the car and I told her no. Sure as shit we came out of the movies and someone broke into my car and three other cars.

Shit sucks. I thought we were fine since we were sitting outside most of the evening and in a nicer, quite neighborhood.

gah. wife leaves stuff out all the time and I don't care about her shit getting stolen, she left it out ... it's my truck getting broken into that is the issue. (I'm such a ass, I know). It's to the point I've stopped asking and I'll just wait and then go tuck it away somewhere out of sight.

I love cars to DD. Trucks are too big to daily unless I was in the middle of Kansas. That new Ford Maverick will probably do well.

Well, just woke up to the police knocking on my door. Turns out those bastards that stole my wife’s purse showed up at our house and stole my tundra. Neighbor saw a car circling around and watched it happen.
I guess the neighbor ran up to our door but didn’t knock loud enough to wake us up.
Luckily it’s got full coverage and no garage remote was in there. Also luckily we got the keys to the Lexus rekeyed yesterday instead of waiting a couple days.
