So, I finally committed to start a tread.

2017 TRD Off-Road midlife crisis, day I bought it.

Had no idea what I was getting myself into, but after checking out countless overland threads all I knew , I wanted to 'froad!! And so it began: "The Typical Turd Gen Build"...

(I will update when I'll find more pics)

Was looking for a DD, family hauler, and had no idea what I was getting myself into...
Price difference between decent 2nd gen and a new turd gen was only a few grand (in 2017), so it made sense financially. New truck and all

I'll have to look into it. Sometime I think maybe two years ago, I knocked the alignment out af. turns out my tabs got flatten, and on top of all, alignment bolts were seized within the bushings. Since i couldn't get tabs anytime soon, I had one of guys in my shop weld flat bar in place of front tabs. So far so good. But I would not mind that JD fab setup at all!

I must have just missed you! We hit Colorado National Monument on the way to Moab (Arches, Canyonland and Dead Horse) then worked our way through Tetons and Yellowstone. Then spent 5 days in Glacier. Just got home this AM.
Nice!! Hell of a trip!

We're staying half hour from 'National Monument " in Palisade. Leaving for Moab tomorrow.
This part of Colorado is just beautiful! Hot AF, but it's a dRy hEaT

Dude we just spent a few days at 10k and that altitude gets you good. Haha.
We live at sea level. Our base camp now is at ~5K. We went on small a hike in the morning, and my family was giving up in less than a mile... (than again, we're talking about babied 6 yos) Anyways, we drove up to a ~10K "Lands End" Overlook, no hiking, but definitely felt the altitude. Good times though!

Edit ~5k not 6

Our usual desert camps are 2-5k and that alone makes a difference. 10k is no joke..

Fortunately you know a couple guys who can install the JD kit.
