I make Thai yellow chicken curry as well from time to time...
wontons, gyoza, nagiri (that's been years though), inari, yakisoba, etc mostly easier stuff. I've made, with the help of my mom, Japanese pickles similar to kimchi, but that was YEARS ago as well.
For this, I was given chicken that my roommate was going to get rid of just because it was in her freezer for a few months??? Perfectly fine, but she just didn't want it so she asked if I wanted to take it...
I thawed it, fried some pieces for the first night and it came out pretty good, but then thought about tonkatsu and immediately chicken katsu came to mind.
So the half Asian in me made that today instead.
Now it makes me want to go buy some tiger shrimp and batter it up that way.
