These homeless tweakers are getting getting worse and worse these days. Redlands has always had homeless, but this past couple years it has started to get very noticeable along the freeway. Which my office is right by the freeway so these homeless wander along the streets.
I just went to check the mail and there was some tweaked out dude dressed in women's clothing (pink tank top and yoga pants) just mumbling and arguing with himself pretty loudly, spinning in circles, swinging his arms around. On my way back from the mailbox he started to follow me a bit and tried to enter one of the neighboring offices. I think I am going to invest in a desk safe and desk gun.
Just knock em out man, or an aluminum baseball bat works pretty good as a deterrent. No need for a gun..
Now if the dude had a towel on his head it might raise my eyebrow:evilgrin:

I’m not gonna sit in the back of my office and wait for someone to get close enough to hit them with a bat when they might have some sketchy shit like a machete. I’d rather be able to protect myself from a distance and only shoot if necessary.

You've never hit a tweaker huh?

You could throw a hay maker, swing a bat, hell you could probably stab em and those fuckers just get right back up like nothing even happened

So my buddy offered to sell his 28’ race trailer to me. Kinda been wanting something similar for a long time and figured by the end of next year I’d be in a good position to buy one. Problem right now is my 05 tundra can’t tow shit. I need a 2500-3500 truck. I REALLY don’t want to spend big money on a diesel right now. It just doesn’t seem to make sense financially when I don’t plan to drive a truck more than a couple times a week max. Figured I can settle for a gas motor for significantly less cost.
Found this guy on FB for $18k. Seems like it’ll cover all my needs for towing a trailer up to about 13k lbs fully loaded. It’s 4x4 too. I can build a flat bed or buy a replacement bed for it. Kinda debating on selling the Tundra and picking this up.

The trailer has a shower, toilet, kitchen, AC and heat. Just doesn’t have built in beds or generator. I’d probably just do cots or fold down beds from the walls. I do want to build tool boxes under the flatbed for storage. I’m gonna message the seller now about the truck.

Yeah, it's not ideal but I think it will handle what I need good enough to hold me over for a year or two. Diesels are just so damn expensive right now, and I don't want an older one that's going to require a ton of work just to get it to a decently running vehicle. Plus maintenance is ridiculous on diesels it seems like.
If I can pay cash for this truck, and eventually upgrade to a diesel in the future when I have more cash, then I will be financially comfortable.

On a budget gas is a good solution. No reason to do 80 up a grade with a fully loaded trailer.
The diesels are pretty high maintenance. I just don't trust previous owners. The emissions alone is scary enough.

Exactly my thoughts. I think this is potentially a great steppingstone before spending big bucks on a diesel. I expect I will need to spend at least $50,000 to get a decent diesel truck. And that’s just not in my budget right now.

Lol, the ones I've delt with did not get back up. I thought I was going to break something actually...they where frail and skinny...
Sucks I guess the ones you deal with....but I still think a baseball bat would work

If they had a weapon then by all means!:flamethrow:
