Ain’t no mo’
Good stuff, especially since it lives in the garage
It's woodworking not machining.....Operation Table Saw Rehab continues with a really affordable runout gauge from the ‘Zon. .002” out ain’t bad for an eyeball and an adjustable square.

I suppose. Slop begets slop. It was quite a bit worse before I got the square out. Nice to know I got it within reason. Control the things we can. You certainly have more experience in close-tolerance stuff than I do. Appreciate your insight. It's woodworking not machining.....
Edit: Seldom used either miter slot tbh. Crosscut sled for a specialty project only memorable instance. Fence to blade alignment is much more important
You're not wrong for keeping your saw lined up that well. It's just that you'll get the perfect cut... just to have it be anywhere from a hair to an 8th off in a few hours as the temp/humidity changes, and same with whatever the board is being screwed to, and to realize you're measuring with a tape that only goes to 16ths anyway and is a 4th off the 3 other tapes you have, and so on. Not gonna be much different from having a few thou of runout just to deal with the same issuesI suppose. Slop begets slop. It was quite a bit worse before I got the square out. My fence lines up pretty well for a cheap old saw. That’s the next thing to look at.
Reminds me of a saying an old aircraft welder taught me: “Measure it with a micrometer, mark it with a grease pencil, cut it with an axe.”You're not wrong for keeping your saw lined up that well. Anyone use dimple dies with a hydraulic hole knockout? Supposedly they’ll dimple die 1/8” steel up to a certain size (1.5”- 2” I think?). The larger dies you need a 20t press for 1/8” mild steel. Thinner gauge steel it can do it all. I don’t have room in my work space for a full size press so I’m tempted to try the hydraulic hole knockout. Harbor Freight sells the knockout for $100 and Temco makes a dimple die set from 1/2”-2.5” that works with it for $270

That's quite the tool!
That is going to be a killer table!!Started a workbench project recently. Trying to cut down the floor footprint of my workspace. Right now stuff is everywhere. This is the first step in organizing stuff.
Bought the plans and put together a cut list using MaxCut. Out of three sheets of ply, only had this much waste. It’s a good thing, too. Baltic Birch is ridiculous right now. Could have used lesser material, but I found it in the unicorn 4x8 format so bought it.

Seemed like a good first project for a track saw. It did a nice accurate job for a freehand layout. Definitely can use a track square for future projects. I wasn’t sure how efficient I was going to be or number of mistakes, so I didn’t set the blade width in the cutting software too large (gap between parts). Knowing what I know now, I could cut them a little bit farther apart and finish cut them on the table saw. But turned out beyond my expectations with just the tool and track.

Clamped and glued the various strips to build the laminated frame pieces, then ran them through the table saw to clean them up. Then started the frame glue-ups. Going to start the cabinet routing and assembly shortly.

I got the old Teal and Black dildo right in the ass.
There’s always a way to rationalize it. I wouldn’t sweat it.
