Smoked the turkey this time around.
Put it in the salty water with some herbs and shit over night then cramed it full of misc veggies and spice.

The hard was separating the skin from meat to put the rub in there everywhere.

No leftovers....
Wanted to make smoked turkey salad

Smoker is the way to go. Man my family annihilated this turkey. Second year in a row I didn't have leftovers. Was a little salty this year but even one of my uncles who said he never eats white meat because it's usually too dry went back for a second plate. So I did something right. Haha

I was just watching some YT vids because I've never heard of "Trona"? At first I thought it was some sort of abbreviated off-road term/city name of sorts?

Anyways, looks like a super easy trail, like really easy trail, but looks very fun at the same time.

Does it require "adventure passes" to camp overnight out there? Are the camp sites pretty obvious/designated or can you more or less just camp anywhere just as long as you are "off trail"?

Man, we ALL need to do a meet in Anza/Ocotillo some day and do the "Pumpkin Patch" run, "Fish Creek", etc.

@Nicklovin @HavingaGoodTime4x4 that's where I met you guys. That was years ago now and very memorable moments.

It's all blm. You can camp for free. All the marked trails are very easy. A few trails that go up the mountains are steep but still easy enough. Ton of mines. A ghost town out there.

@4runner DOA Danny I didn't know which sub-forum to put this question in?

Anyways, at some point I want to change my bumper to kind of sort of a Baja style bumper and found one I really like.

It's really a bumper replacement. Anyways, my question is, I plan on putting a winch in place as well since there is a slot for it. If the winch comes with rollers, can you change from roller to hawes? For whatever reason the specs for the bumper states that the bumper is not compatible with roller fairleads and only hawes.

Finally, what manuf is decent? Smittybuilt, Warn, Harbor Freight, etc? I did some research a while back and remember reading that Smittybuilt are not very good as well as Warn. The Harbor Freight ones some people actually preferred? To me, they all seemed to gain an equal share meaning it really all depended on who you asked? It's like you have the hardcore Chevy only followers or Ford Followers, etc. that will tell you which is best. Just because something costs more, in my experiences, does NOT always mean the best. I just want something that is fairly dependable in the end.

With that said, there is a Smittybuilt that I like and a Harbor Freight one that I like. I'm leaning towards the Smittybuilt, but have my questions about the roller/hawes? Is it more or less just a "faceplate" and you can go from one or the other?

I've got a Smitty winch, it's been good to me. Still works fine. You can swap fairleads just make sure you get one compatible with the line you're running. I still have steel cable so I couldn't go aluminum fairlead because the cable would rip through it.

Thanks Danny.

Yeah, it will be a while before I even get the bumper. Just doing as much "homework" as I can about the subject.

HAHAHA, now I need to learn the how to basics of winch recovery? :noidea::rofl::rofl::rofl:

But yeah, I also read about steel vs aluminum lines and their associated fairleads.

Thanks brother for the info. :beerscheers:

Thought this might interest you guys. Bought it to flip, my mom decided she wants it so the FJ stays and my silver Tacoma is on the chopping block.

07 TRD with 130k for about $13,000

It will probably never see dirt

No fucking idea. They're heimed so adjustable camber/caster at the UCA. This guy is an idiot and half the problem with #ftw. He would have been fine if he knew what he was doing. I ran 35s with bushing non adjustable UCAs for a long while. I only went heims on uppers because I kept getting good deals on shit. If you need uppers, doesn't sound like a bad deal.

Love them so much he put 5k miles in 5 years:doh:. At that point he don't even know what they are capable of, besides what some inFLUencer on TW told him he can do.
Fuck taco world
But if it wasn't for there I wouldnt know ½ the people on here.

I still look for good deals. This is a good deal but like I said I don't need it don't wheel enough:pout: or hard enough to really use them.

These are not for a daily driver other than to look good.

Shit I found a pedal commander for $150
Crazy what a little box can do to a skinny pedal
