It's nice to have everything electrical turned on and the voltage reading still be over 14 volts at an idle isn't it.

Oh yes. I'm usually around 13.6 at idle with both batteries fully charged and the engine warmed up. Fridge running, AC blasting, all lights on. I still believe one of my best upgrades was the alternator. Cost a pretty penny but it was worth it.

Hmmm.....maybe I should look into that at some point. My ECM voltage is sitting around 13.67 and I've noticed a bit of a dip after the winch install. A fridge and some additional lighting is on the wish list so I'm not sure if the tow package alternator can keep up with demand.

Maybe. 4runner stock alt I wanna say was only 100, not the tow package 130. Unless you had the v8.
