Well how I really feel.... The only exciting parts of the day were riding shot gun with Danny.... not knowing if I was going to get killed or if he was going to wreck his junk before the next stop was traumatizing. I'm going to file a claim against his insurance to pay for the therapy I need for the PTSD he inflicted on me.
Thats how i felt when we went to Joshua tree a while back. Kyle and Danny were drunkin maniacs. So glad my truck stayed home that trip.
It wasn't that bad. :anon:
Im sure it was. But riding with Juan might be worse. He's crazy too.

That shit was so much fun.

Who ended up with my shovel, axe, and chair? Hahahah. Was on the other side of hammer town when I realized that shit was still at camp. Hope everyone gets home safe, when I woke up at 430 I just said fuckit. Glad I did too because it's pouring fucking rain here in Anaheim and I got rained on the entire drive from Victorville.
Miah has em hahah, your grill grate too
As we were leaving the storm was looming behind us, left camp about 10.
We cut straight south and entered the highway just outside of landers, no traffic out there and another hour of dirt, was nice. Started raining when we got on the 10 but nothing crazy

There was a huge line of trailers and RVs several miles long line leaving at 6:15AM. Kyle, Juan and I were bypassing and passing them all the way to pavement, fucking sucked.

Also that whole unlimited race was boring as shit. Who wants to watch $100k offroad buggies going down rock gardens.... what a pussy fest. Backdoor was probably even worse, I dunno how people could sit there and watch every fucking buggy winch up Backdoor, after the first 2 it was a yawn fest.

Maybe the other races were more interesting.

Yea kinda disappointed with spectating the race downhill, way too easy for those trucks. Throw in the stupid ass grandstand thing by back door, smfh

Fuck so now I'm never gonna see that shit again. Hahahah. I'll give him a ring, see if he's gonna be in the area anytime soon.

Honestly, having them come down the popular trails was probably a better idea to keep the race from being a parking lot for spectators. Back Door was pretty lame this year all around. Not as much partying as last year, and the winching up during the race was gay.

@Hold My Beer & Watch This and I went to Claw Hammer and watched the EMC guys go up it, and that was a good time. We even watched them go up Full of Hate, and that shit was pretty gnarly until a vehicle was broken at the top and everyone had to come back down. If you want to see vehicles going up the hard trails, you gotta go to the back trails. Those fuckers kick up big as rocks n shit. I was probably 50-60 yards from a truck on Wednesday, and got hit in the arm with a fist sized rock. If that hit me in the head it would have been lights out. Can't have that kind of stuff happen at a crowded trail like Chocolate Thunder.

I finally have reception. An hour in on this exit line. FML.
Yup I was in that line from 8:40-9:40 this morning. That shit sucked.

My truck survived, and luckily the only major damage was a bashed in front end going up chocolate thunder. I can now claim that I made it up chocolate thunder without a radiator. Good times.
That was hilarious watching you bash your shit, then haul ass out of it without a radiator.

Wednesday was a long fucking day. I completely forgot about that rock that almost killed you. I thought it wss coming for my nuts at first.

I really wish somebody recorded us at chocolate thunder. The entire week my friend was getting hit up by random people telling him how badass the green machine is. They even bring up shit from previous years.

Yeah that shit was sketchy. I didn't even see that rock coming. I was opening another beer, and WHAM! my arm flew back too. Thankfully I was wearing two jackets, so it softened the blow, but damn that shit was coming fast.

I think my buddies Bryan and Nick got some videos of you guys. I'll have to ask them.

They were good people. I hope they enjoyed themselves at our camp.

Last night was fun. We were at the top of Chocolate Thunder lighting off all the mortars we had left. It was a good fireworks show at the top.
Were you guys lighting off more acetylene bombs last night?

I was hanging out with some friends not too far from our camp and we heard a couple go off. Figured it was you guys going at it again.
