another chapter ends. damn.

hopefully it lives on in the global market.

Rather see it killed than another bullshit BMW co-development though

stop making the shit no one wants and start making and promoting a more affordable retro-new again. FJ80 is the only answer.

It will hold I did it all the time in my evo because broke ass. Just saying those look like a go fast tire so maybe keep them mph's down until you get fresh rubber

The tires are a bit overkill for the car. It's corners crazy well. Just be annoying to have a new 100% tire and all the others with 20k on them

My EDC is a griptilian and before that the Osbourne. I switched to the griptilian for work do to the bulkiness of it and durability. And I love my osbourne so much I was afraid of losing it at work so now that is my non-work/light work carry. I am afraid to fuck it up.
If the griptilian wasn't so bulky, I'd definitely own one. I really prefer something slim. I keep my knife in my back pocket and work in an office these days, so I like to have something that has a little more sleek and classy feel to it. I still use the hell out of it, but for camping or hiking I carry my ESEE Izula II. If I want something I can really abuse.
I've got like 3 of the cheaper Kershaws floating around. I tend to misplace them when we're camping and I can bet I've left at least one at chilitown and one in death valley.

Knives are like sunglasses for me. I tend to lose or break them so I try to keep it around the 30-40 dollar range and I keep multiple of the same floating around. Think I've got 3 pairs of sunglasses right now. One slightly scratched that is the backup, one I wear daily, and one brand new pair. Haha.
I tell people all the time. Get a nice knife and take care of it. You will keep it longer than you think once you realize the value. I lost a few knives before I started getting nicer ones. Now I haven't lost a carry knife in probably 8 years. I always keep my cheap knifes floating around in my truck, toolbox, bedroom, backpack, etc so that I pretty much always have access to a knife that I can abuse if I don't have my EDC on me for whatever reason. Speaking of that, I still don't have a knife in my car (wife stole it) or in my office desk. I need to find something to keep in those places.

Dipped into the stash and decided to carry the HK. We'll see how it holds up to my dumbassery. Never been a serrated blade fan for EDC though.20190821_123527.jpg20190821_123518.jpg

Yea if I was still working in an office or more of that sort work I would carry the Osbourne. But the bulkiness of the griptilian makes it nice and easy to grab with gloves. Weather I be wearing my “mechanic” gloves or my bulky cheap leathers.

The ESEE Izula ll is a great knife. For camping/bush crafting I have my ESEE 4. I have put that thing through hell and it hasn’t flinched.

Have you checked out the Benchmade Bugout? I wanted/still want one. But you talk about slim and weightless.

Isn’t the HK knives made by Benchmade?

Yeah the Osborne is definitely not the best for hard use and with gloves. I still really want a griptilian but there are a couple others I want first. I want the PM2 I mentioned earlier and a Lionsteel first.

honestly the Izula II is probably the best all around knife I’ve ever used/carried. If I still worked in an environment that made sense to carry, I’d totally carry it again. It’s the perfect size for practical use but it’s strong as fuck to use for hard use. I’ve chopped 3” logs with that fucker with the baton method. That thing is a beast. It’s lightweight enough to carry without it being annoying. I really like the sheath on it too. I carry it handle down so it’s super easy to draw fast. I never lost it either.

I haven’t messed with the bugout yet. I’d like to check one out though. Seems like a great knife when it comes to practicality.

Stuck here in Bakersfield boring as fuck ... let me.just say there has to be something in the water cause every girl I've seen has ass for days even the tweekers

I fucking hate Bakersfield. Tweakers galore. I don't even drive through it anymore to get to the lake since I got the 4runner. Rather take the jawbone run through the sequoia's

I looked up a couple knives mentioned and now I have found more shit to add to the wish list. I carry a small beater knife at work (Warehouse day to day usage) that I don’t care about messing up, the CRKT Drifter. Big 5 special for like $15! Now interested in higher end knives to EDC outside work. I like the mini Griptilian since it’s smaller/ sleeker. I don’t think I could use it at work for fear of damaging the blade but it’s a nice knife.

Also looked at the Bugout and saw a funny review video that the guy hated it compared to the 940(?). Fidgety dude for sure! Seems like a nice knife for the money.

I can see his points on why he doesn't like it. I almost feel the same way whenever I use a knife that is not my 940. He does seem a little picky regarding the plastic handle. He shouldn't buy a knife with plastic scales expecting it to feel any different from what it is. The fact that it flexes so much and the pinch points are the only things that would actually concern me. Still seems like a solid knife to have in the collection.

Agreed, it’s a thin plastic handle and it’s specifically made that way to make the knife lighter, so it isn’t masquerading as something it isn’t, it’s just this dude has a hard on for his other knife

I have a hard on for the same knife. I drooled over it for like 3 years before I pretty much forced my wife to get it for me for my first fathers day. I put money into her account so she had no excuses not to buy it for me haha. Best folding knife I've ever owned and carried. Worth the cost for sure!

The Osbourne is a boner worthy knife. I loved it the second I held it. I am still not put off from the bugout. I hate when I scratch my nails against the hand of my knives and feel plastic! Lol and continued to bitch about that for ever. The only real issue could be the pinch point, and for that to each their own. He should ship the bugout to me
