I got to put in my motor mounts and get an alignment next week. Probably gonna have to take off all the shit to get in on the front mounts.

I know we wont need a portable shower for SAN G but was wondering if you guys have any showers that you use when you don't have plumbing? I have been looking into the rinsekit LUX that has 3 gallons of storage as it looks consistent and durable. Originally I was checking out the helio collapsible, but it seems that many fail at their seals after a handful of uses to where its hard for me to trust that.

Figured out of all the overlanders rolling on this, maybe someone has some perspective?

@4runner DOA and I both have waterports. The beautiful thing about them is you can heat up some water, pour it in and then pressurize it with the Schrader valve. Put up one of those privacy tents and you have your own shower.

If you don’t have a privacy tent then sell tickets to the show #LTdoesntbuyitself

I am on the fence now between either a road shower or a waterport. I know they are similar, but the capacity of the waterport with only being 3.8 gals is the reason why I’m considering the road shower. That said if you are conservative with the water, how long does a 3.8 gallon last? They do have them at Costco which is another bonus for me.

Just build one out of 4" ABS pipe and some fittings. Cheap and simple.

Surprisingly, 3.8 gallons can last awhile.

It’s plenty for quick showers, you’re not going to re-enact the scene from flashdance...

But if you do I want tickets

Hahaha you got me tempted...

I see that Costco sells them, but have read horror stories from there. Where did you get yours from?

Mines from Costco. @Itaro too. He's had less issues with his, but mines bounced around the back of the runner a time or two as well. I ended up using rtv to seal up some connections and it's not really leaking anymore. I can usually make the initial 3.8 gallons last 2-3 days between washing hands (especially my kid's) and maybe a shower or two. I almost always carry the waterport and an extra 5 gallon scepter can on most trips. The 5 gallon usually gets used for putting the fire out.

Aye man that sucks that it seems they need to be sealed from time to time. Is that just due to the plastic housing in general? I can def see how yours is when we are there and see how it is.

@madtaco461 you rolling to san G? Holy shit we might like...meet man.

It's not the waterport itself that I needed to seal, just the connector for the hose. It got a little stripped so it would leak out the of that. I tried plumbers tape before I ended up using the rtv I had laying around.
