Hahah we talked about it a little bit
What keeps happening with the connection?
First was him fucking around on his phone I think and accidentally ended it or something. Second was I think I had kinda shitty connection at some points. I was using LTE but sometimes it cuts out.
not bad. expected more shit talk
It’ll get there. We kinda wanted to keep it simple for the intro. I’m sure once we get more people on it, we’ll get much more shit talking.

Really enjoying it, I also never noticed the rebrand from independent to ifs on the site even though I lurk like a motherfucker here lol

Ifsoffroad.com was just better for swag and we didn't realize it was available when we started the forum. We own both though.

Glad you are enjoying it. Besides the pauses and cutting out, let us know if you have any suggestions. We’d love to get some feedback on how we can improve on things.

Just finished and I really enjoyed the first episode, as someone who is still getting into offroad and really limited on building and fixing stuff since I live in a tiny studio apartment with no garage space to do much more than spark plugs, but have big dreams of LT, 4-link, engine swap, cage, etc. I'd love to hear stories on how people get started with building and learning along the way since most build threads tend to skip over a lot of the learning and frustration that naturally comes along with it. More technical stuff like line choice, recovery, trail repairs would be cool to hear about too. Keep killing it!

That’s exactly what we are looking to hear and pretty much what I’m looking to get out of this too. I like hearing how people got into things and how they learned how to do the things they do. Hopefully we help people come up with ways to learn more about this stuff. Fab work is definitely one of my favorite hobbies besides just camping and offroading, so it’ll be fun to talk about that stuff with you guys. Thanks for the feedback dude!

It’s an audiobook for forum BS. I can listen to it while perusing online so it works. I don’t have a long commute so I never listen to podcasts but I’ll tune in for sure

More shit talking though please. Going on about Jeeps and their shortcomings was perfectly acceptable for me!

I love making/ building stuff so I knew this was a rabbit hole for me, and a lot of stuff transfers over. I do all the work on my bike and it basically has air shocks, coilovers, and bypasses they just interact with tuning differently. I also break it a decent bit finding the limits of huck to flat so chucking an old suv off shit feels familiar, except it breaks way more and you can't fix it in your kitchen

Dang! I didnt think that's this would have so much reception in the first couple days! Thanks for all the input on it guys! We appreciate it! Wed love for it to be a weekly thing, just aligning time can be tough! Keep the suggestions coming! Soon it'll be up on apple podcasts and google podcasts, just awaiting approvals on those.
