Didn’t take long to give those links the abuse they deserve.Got the truck out and tested the 4 link. In natural fashion, I didn't take it easy. got the fender and the other passenger door. Did a number on the driveshaft flange as well.

Well I kinda forget that your wheelbase is like 2ft longer than mine is, which means your breakover point is right where your lower link mounts are.... doh! Luckily they are still WAY tucked up compared to most 4 linked trucks.Every time I hit a link mount, I could hear you saying, "It's fine, you won't hit them that often". What happened to those 37's? You still have them? I need a few "test" tires. Although I'm positive I'll clear with a 1" body lift. Then @AssBurns will have to do a frame notch for me so I clear the damn frame.

Says the guy that has PBR's...No. The Ridge Grappler is the tire you want for how we wheel. It's what I ran the Dusy on 2 years ago. The Trail is more of an AT while the Ridge is the new "hybrid" style. Deeper lugs, better grip, but still drives kinda quietly.

As far as traction is considered for rocks, isn't the TG better for that? Assuming you are not caring about highway noise or all weather performance, wouldn't the TG be better?

Any advantages MT tires have are marginal and situational and not worth the on road compromises for weekend warrior vehicles. I've come to the conclusion that unless you are running 40s or bigger, there's no reason to run MTs.
You can quantify the noise increase from MT tires
You can quantify the MPG loss from MT tires
You can quantify the vibration and rumbling increased from MT tires
You cannot quantify the real world on-trail performance/traction gains.
