Is this a problem on the 4.7 V8s as well? I also have an '04.

Best of luck with your slow self destruction
Thanks and I don't believe so on the V8. The only concern on the V8 is the timing belt. It should be done every 100k miles. That V8 is one of Toyotas best engines.

^ This, i found this out the hard way.......:headwall:

Yeah my Tacoma is becoming suspect. I bought it July 2006, but I don't know the manufacturing date. Eats coolant once in awhile and is starting to idle rough some mornings. No misfires and #6 plug looked fine last time I changed them. 137k miles or so.

so could be a really slow leak then. My truck did it back in 2010 while i was going to school and working full time, needless to say i never checked any of the fluid on ended up blowing the motor.

Yeah I'm just keeping an eye on it. Runner is 07 so it's got the updated gasket.

After talking with some of the guys I think I'm gonna stick with bolt on sliders. I need to drill some frame holes so I can add some better rigidity to them, but they haven't let me down yet. Was just thinking they need to come off so I can do some painting.

Was going to do a big break upgrade today but surprise. 15640790297111592871710.jpg

I don't mind one style but not one of each. Reached out to vendor to get it fixed. Let's see how it turns out.

Haven't been updating in a while. Big breaks are done and working well.

Got some sliders on my 4R from Avid IMG_20191026_101601625.jpg

Started the FJ t case swap on the 05 Taco. No more failing actuator. IMG_20191103_151945803_HDR.jpg

Got to get it done for the Chiva Falls trip.

Only reason I haven't done the fj case is because I do love AWD and you lose that in the runner with the fj case. Next time my TC fails I'm doing it though.
