It's more than the bushing. The lower mount is completely different.
I'll check in the morning . I have a set of 2.5 icons from a Tacoma that are going on runner after I rebuild them. I called Icon and asked what the difference is between the two. Slightly different valving, longer resi hide on the runner and a 3)4 poly bushing according to icon. I'll dig them out tomorrow and verify.

As far as I know, the bolt pattern on the upper strut mount is different and lengths are different.
3rd gen 4runner uses the same mounting patterns and lengths though.

Highly doubtful. The 4th gen platform shares similar parts with the 2nd/3rd gen taco, FJ, and 5th gens although even then there's some differences with everything but the FJ rear shocks.

Anybody have any info on 4th gen 4Runner rear shocks working on a 1st gen Toyota Sequoia? Searched everywhere and couldn’t find any info.

Not according to dealer website/ part list. Not sure about the specs, so... no clue if after maket stuff would fit.

How about 10+ B8 6112s on 3rd Gen runner fronts and 5160s for rears?

Looking at used 24-259118 with 650# colis (currently on 6th circlip) needs new top hat and a pair of 25-227411 rear shocks off a 2013 4runner
$400 for the entire setup

Guy upgraded to custom Kings and pulled these are 20K miles

Doubt it. There's not much, if anything, between 3rd and 4th/5th gen.

I think I saw someone post here recently the rear UCA’s will swap between the two?
Rear springs might work (not too sure)
I think some folks are using 4th gen shocks on their 3rd gen but not sure why they’d be doing that unless the length is the specific purpose.

I can confirm that rear UCA's are interchangeable between 3rd and 4th Gen Runners and Fj Cruisers. I Got a FJ rear UCA and used it on my 98 Runner.

That's interesting. I'd think they would be longer because of the wheel base difference.

Reawaken this thread real quick.

Curious on if anyone knows if I can use a 1st Gen Tundra/Sequoia Diff in a 3rd gen 4runner?
Only concern is the actuator being electric for the 01+ and my 96 has a the solely vacuum operated actuator
Any thoughts?
Reason being I have access to a locked and geared diff

Mounts are the same, so it'll bolt in for sure. Should be able to swap the long tube side to keep your vacuum operated ADD.
