Steve, I took another page out of your playbook recently. You know that box you have in your rack that has your tools in it? Yeah, I just got a 42" Plano waterproof gun case. It fits all my tools perfectly and now I can access them even when I'm in really tight spots. Well, unless I end up on my lid. lol

I might get another one and put it on the other side. I like the system that much. Thanks man.

Been getting asked about my summer doors. Here is how I did them:

Marking both sides - my goal was to retain the outside door handle. I may make something to open the door from the inside once I get my snap on clear panels made.

By cutting them down this low you have to remove the side impact beam (pipe) which I felt would lead to decreased door rigidity over time.

To combat this, instead of welding sheet metal to cover I used thicker aluminum that I bent in a cheapo Harbor Freight brake and then attached the sections to the door with pop rivets.

Skipping a couple steps - but you can figure them out. I probably should have finished off the inside with aluminum but I wanted to move on to other projects so I used the butyl sound deadening mat material.

Key item - leave your wiring in the door intact! I tried trimming back to what I thought I needed and then none of my window controls worked - including the back window. Just unplug...

I have a set of doors I need to make a set of halves out of. Will use this for inspiration!

Damn son! That should hold the rack in place a little better than before

Trying to decide if I throw a new rack in while I have everything apart.

Or try and convince my wife to let me get a 4 banger 1999 I just found.

I spy some Solo LCA's

Also, where did you get that bushing for the new rack clamp? Something you found or did you make it yourself?
