Those are probably strong Enough you could bump off the upper, which would be ideal. Gusseted spindle, not so much. If you aren’t gonna bump off the upper, I see no point. But overlanders will buy them for sure

We've seen a couple instances of failed spindles after gussets. @Tetten was one of them. I'm assuming these would eliminate that problem since you aren't heating up the stock spindle for the gussets.

He’s still most likely the 1% that need a fabbed spindle haha. Depends on how hard you’re beating your truck. Doing something you shouldn’t be vs. bad luck. A gusseted spindle won’t fail out of the blue haha

Heating likely doesn't do anything for welding on gussets.

But if I crack through my new set I might look into these. Dunno about compatibility with TC kits, if it helps stop wear on the LCA at the steering stop I'd be all for it. My shit isn't looking so good in those areas.

I'd rather have my gussetted spindles over something that may be bombproof, who knows what might be next in line to fail under there..

I'd hope anyone trying to run these has upgraded other parts. I could see toasting a stock LCA or LBJ. I've already bent one stock LCA coming down too hard on it. I'd bet the spindle would have bent if it wasn't gusseted.

I'm amazed when you bent that gusseted spindle in DV that you didn't destroy anything else.

Definitely in that range. Been waiting for someone to finally do this.

I'm surpirsed it has taken this long for someone to fab these up. I'm also curious what will fail next. I'd imagine the force will be transfered into the Upper control arm mounts?

They are probably right in line with their other spindles. Probably going for 1000.
$1000 would be a gift. More like $1,500-$2k

Nah, I'd rather have plenty of other things fail over a snapped spindle at high speeds. Plus the ability to bump off of the spindle/ UCA joint would be super badass.

1500-2k better be 4130. They have a cnc in house that helps with making those nice parts. You're in long travel territory once you have build upper, lowers and spindle. Time to gusset your frame. Coil bucket bends. Lower mounts crack and bend. Eat through a few steering racks. Frame begins to bend and crack. It's fun stuff. Eventually the truck is so built it is boring and you sell it to start over.

Look like MIG welds. So most likely not 4130.
