I'll probably just end up with the set. In the long run it's worth it.

I never even heard of Knipex until the first time I met you. Then I used them once and can see the quality in them. I eventually want to get a full knipex plier set to replace the random branded stuff I have now.

With this fat paycheck I am about to get next month with all these refi's, I might have to just do some knipex plier shopping. Will also need a new toolbox or tool cart to store all this junk.

harbor freight 7 drawer service cart is awesome.

I had to decide between alignment stuff or big tool box. I've got tool storage (albeit scattered) so I decided the alignment stuff would get more immediate use.

Lulz just a couple random tools on a brake rotor on that Hayabusa.
The equivalent of "oh em gee I'm a mechanic!" Photos of chicks just holding a wrench on a lugnut

How many alignments do you do where you need those for just your vehicle?

Fuck IT, just open a front end shop on the side.

Every trip off road? Can't hard mount the lowers because I don't have adjustable uppers. I have a lifetime at Firestone, but I don't always have the time to get there and their techs are kinda retarded.

Why does it matter? I have 4 vehicles at my house that may need alignments at some point. I have friends who may not have a lifetime. I'm far too lazy to turn it into a side job that's limited by what little free time I already don't have on the weekends.

Needing an alignment every time I go offroading sounds like a special kind of hell. Is that a symptom of playing on the rocks or a symptom of beating upon that which wasn't designed for it? It's not a phenomenon I've ever experienced.

That was also way too indignant a response for just "Holy shit why do you need those?". Wanna snickers?

It's a product of a lot of things, but currently it's desert season which means lots of fast mobbing. In a couple months it's mountain season, so more 4wd stuff. I have a very heavy front end.

I mean maybe we just wheel harder down here? Shit my last street/trail toys I wouldn't align them even bother balancing tires....

Oh I'm sure mine are all out of balance right now. I'll usually still drive if it tracks straight regardless of steering wheel position, but right now my passenger camber is at 1.5, so I might have bent something last time out. Need to fix the Jettas gas tank this weekend so I can get it out of my way and throw the runner up on stands.
