This was a couple weeks later from the last post. We decided the at the time there was too much junk in the trunk for us to fully use and flex out the suspension in the rear so this happened... I ordered a ute bj75 cab placed on tub and the rest is history IMG_20190405_184336.jpg

Once again making a move from this shop in June to a more permanent place that where stuff can get done. Finally a place of my own.

Doing test cycling on the suspension. Slowly figuring out that there could be a lot more up travel with wider axles. Finally bought an 80 series rear and had a custom diamond front made. 80 series width but with billet 60 series balls on ends. This means mo more hitting frame finally.

Really nice build. I would also just put bed in that shop and order food for sustenance.

Last month or so been working on the truck off and on. Took the cab off again. Threw in the motor/trans and got started on the new trans/blackbox mount. I wanted it to be easy to remove so I bent up some L brackets for the inside. Drilled through frame and inset some 5/8 inner diameter tubes into frame so the bolts can go though.

Damn that is looking good! When do you estimate to have this project all buttoned up?

I hope to get it as a running rolling chassis by May. With how stuff has been currently going ive had plenty of time to get some logistics planning done for the body as well as the bed that i need to bob down to 6ft in the background. Id love to have it done midsummer to late summer but time will tell, this truck has been a long journey with lots of interruptions from parts and having time to get work done.

Was back at it again today. Started on the rear bumpstop mounts. They came with mounting cans which was nice. Five minutes on the computer and another 5 to cut the frame mounts out on the plasma table. Got them tacked on up for measurement purposes. Seems they will fit in fine. I still need to figure out if the tires are gonna end up hitting on the antirock link but for now it's at the end of the list until I get the new rear axle finished.
