Anyone ever weld stainless? I've done it a few times with stick. I did a little today. All the pretty colors come out.

I have some old Ingersoll Rand die grinders on the pneumatic side.As always, thanks! I'll give it a shot and go from there. I'll probably have to wait until COVID-19 blows over since I don't have easy access to an air compressor. I have to use one at a hobby shop on base (DOD Civ). Any recommendations on a die grinder?

I have the angled and straight M18 Milwaukee now, so the air ones sit idle.
I purposely did not post my last ally welds. Hammered dog shit would have been complimentary.Yeah I might need to buy a corded die grinder then. The welds were so bad.
The importance of a good ground can't be overstated, and now i know. Oddly enough the penetration doesn't look terrible when grinding down, but it looks like hammered dog shit.
I'm out in poway and I can show you a few things if youd like.I'm in San Diego (Ocean beach). It would seem to me that I need to practice more to really lock in the feel of how fast/slow i should travel, how far my stick out is and how rhythmic my motion should be.

Fluxcore so...yea it looks like shit haha. Ordered a 1/2" belt sander to get in the corners to blend. Should clean up nicely. Waiting on my bottle to fall off my buddies truck so I can get started on MIGSmart not showing any close ups. Good from far, far from good?
