@Stairgod when are you rolling in Friday? @Arcticelf and I will probably get in about 6pm. If you’re securing camp earlier in the day, I’ll need a spot for a ground tent, if you could keep that in mind when selecting an area, it would be much appreciated.
Don't quite have my schedule dialed in at this point, but I will likely be there early afternoon on Friday so I can definitely save some spots

Where were you last weekend? You missed a great day at RC and my jeep failing the hill climb at Bald Eagle.
the GF and I were at Assateague MD camping at the beach. Also took a short trip up to Rehobeth Beach DE.

kind of felt weird not going to Takeover. And I didnt have anything to express up north

Taking the girlfriend camping is a legitimate excuse. :)

The powerline near site 31. The loose rocks are too big for me to tackle without armor.
I was so pissed when I tried to reserve 31 and they told me they moved it. That was the best site in the entire forest

Yeah, and where they moved it to SUCKS. We checked it out, and crossed it off the list.
I stayed at #1 last trip. Checked out the whole northern end. Swung by the new site to see exactly what it looked like. Ellie had sent me the GPS coords of the new location and I knew it was in the logged out area so I wasn't very hopeful.

What road is 31 near (or GPS coords).

I don't know where the sites are but I know the roads by name for the most part.

Gotcha. You hit any other drivable trails? I haven't had time this year to go play.

I used to take stover gap home all the time when I lived in Penns Creek, and would take Negro Hollow Road like once a month for the hell of it. Only a couple of trails left open north of i-80 anymore, and that's the way I usually go home now.

Might run out to poe valley state park this weekend and take the back roads.

We did negro hollow, which is way easier in the day and dry than at night and pouring rain. Otherwise we just cruised fire roads.

Supposedly there is some 4x4 trails at Sproul, but no motorized camping there.

Any water left in the mud holes or is it dried up completely?

I can get from my house to north of Lewistown (siglerville) with about 5 minutes on pavement before hitting dirt roads.
