I'd believe that. But you have a shackle flip and run the leaf pack in negative arch, so god only knows what the actual leaf pack rating is :):)

Are we going to chase everyone away from the campfire with a discussion of rear suspension this year?

After following you across AOAA last fall I think you need better shocks.
We going down that road again? Lol
I still haven't received the rears. Probably going to end with with 2.5s back there anyway

Not to mention Turin and I told him that he had that problem back in February when we built his bed rack. I don’t get why you’d freak out about it now, having not done shit about it all these months.

If you really look through his posts, you'll see a long list of reasons he's used to not go wheeling, most of them amounting to "this isn't perfect" but hey, it's his truck, whatever!

It would probably help me to worry a bit more.. me last year at AOAA somehow leading a group: Okay guys, we're just going to do some greens since Liz's 4wd isn't working.. Yep, just down here. Yeah, we're going to avoid timbertown.

My girlfriend, navigating: hey, the only way out of here is through timbertown or turning 4 trucks around on this trail.

Me, to group: Alright guys, we're going on timbertown!

Ahh that was you.

I accidentally did timbertown a couple years ago, aside from being stupid tight I don't recall anything very hard out there.

Is that the one that was VERY tight winding back and forth thru some thinner trees? Then a hundred foot or so long steep ramp into the pit?

It's not hard at all. It's stupid fucking tight and we had a trail limo with us.

That's about how I remember it, yes. I'm pretty sure I can't fit through it with my glass, I remember a lot of folding in mirrors.

I had about an inch to spare on some lines, I think I'm a bit thicker than a 2nd gen though. I do recall thinking my mirror was safe then dropped off a rock and smacked it off a tree and figured "whelp, there's $500!"

No steep ramp, this is way down on that offshoot on eastern

Ride height.

Those pictures are with the lower adjustment all the way out.

13 degrees of camber change, and the lower alignment cams will give me 3 degrees of adjustment.

Caster is stable throughout travel.

LCA will need to get a little longer I think.

God I hope this works and holds up. It will be very satisfying to know that you made it and use it.

Those front J Arm attachment points are the stuff of my nightmares now. #gussetallthethings
Looks like a solid camber curve :beerscheers:

Better yet, it's the camber curve my CAD model predicts. Now I just have to play with it to get 1deg at ride height, with upper and lower adjustments more or less centered so I have full adjustment range.

So I'm 3 deg off where I want to be at ride height, which according to Pythagoras means my UCA is 1/2" too long, or my LCA is 1/2" too short, and reviewing my notes I made the UCA too long compared to my model.

I also had the LCA adjusted all the way out to take these measurements.

I think I need to make the LCA 1" longer to get my Camber right (1/2") and gain some adjustment range (the other 1/2).

Thoughts?

Sounds right if it's not going to cause any issues with axle lengths (if you are using a predetermined axle shaft length already). If that's not an issue, I don't see what any issue would be if you still have room for adjustment that is needed.

I already have the axles, so that's definitely the limiting factor; I'll have to confirm spline engagement, but based on my initial test fit there was plenty. They made the shafts a little long, easier to make them shorter than longer.
