all bullshittin aside, call up the shock maker and ask them what they recommend. They might even have the exact fittings.
I'm almost thinking it may be proprietary.... Going to get in touch with them. The caveat is that the fitting has to be -8AN JIC because that is what seals the fitting into the shock body.... very specific. The alternative would be to lose the reservoir which I don't want

send the shocks out to be rebuilt and can tap that hole with a common thread or whatever special one you'll need for a fitting in that space.

can you go down through the uca and out the side rather than going out the top with the resi? also is there space on the other side of the wheel to mount the resi there?

I typically rebuild them, but that sounds like an interesting idea. Originally the fitting and hose were pointed down through the UCA like you described and I ran them like that for a while, switched to this and now I'm kicking myself. Doh! Another Idea is to turn the fittings to be mounted inside the tower and run the hose down, the only obstacle then would be the clearance of the tower itself.

-8AN JIC to what? 1/4" NPT?

looks bigger than .25 which is why I say talk to manf because that id needs to be a certain size as not to bottleneck the shock right? that's probably maths left up to shock tuners and manfs to work out.

Yeah, its 1/2" NPT and there's no way in hell I'm going to be able to step down to anything less.

Problem solved ... I think. Found a company out of Aus that makes a -8AN JIC Banjo fitting to a -8AN Orb... looks lower profile, and I can get a reusable hose fitting to make some new SS braided lines... If I do this, then I think that the clearance issue will be resolved.... if not it will be close and I can just turn the coilover around so that the resi fitting is inside the tower and run a hose long enough for the new orientation!

Random, got out to wheel around a little bit this weekend, definitely need to rotate the coilover - turn the fitting and route the hose a bit differently. Are you running duals? Looking into TG's tacobox option for the W59 I'm running and it seems like I'll actually end up with it long before Marlin turns out more Taco boxes. Kind of tired seeing my adapter sitting here...

Yep. I'm dual cased on TG adapters with a Marlin Total Spline Input(2.28).

looking great man! Similar front end setup to our 4th gen. We are also still working out the kinks of 8" coilovers on stock arms. Lots to change for round two. Beef up the upper mount. Change the resi hose fitting to a 90 degree so we can actually run the coilover in the right direction and not use the misalignment as our pivot. Then just some revalving.

Woohoo! I think this might be the first 3rd Gen to ever run 8" CO's on factory geometry and yours would be the first 4th gen that I know of. I've been getting around on this for about a month now and it feels great! I just got caught up on your build. That was a fun vlog to watch.

If you guys need low profile fittings, Radium Engineering makes a great JIC to ORB fitting. I am going to be trying to turn the CO inside out to get the 90 deg fitting to be inside of the tower. I don't think there's a better solution for it.

Saludos!
