That is awesome. Get a good block before any wind kicks up
Yea, it was less than a mile from our house. We are covered in trees, mature oaks and a bunch of smaller oaks. All the trees got pruned last year and will we get way more aggressive this year. Probably cut down over a dozen more that are just decorations but fire hazards now. We have power lines that cross and parallel the lot and edison will come and cut down to the ground (no stump removal) any tree you want that is under lines or adjacent for FREE. Got rid of some shitty eucalyptus and honey locust last year this way. Anyone needs firewood, I have probably a cord laying about. Oak, privet, euc, etc.

That's scary. Mile is a good distance, but all it takes is one ember to hit the neighborhood and then the shit hits the fan.

Mile is a bit close for comfort.

This one was 3 years ago a little over a mile away from me. Lucky there was no wind, but you could see the smoke heading towards our direction. Now on high wind days edison said they might cut the power to eliminate some risk of fire.

way too close, especially in drought and high heat. watching san g burn again was insane how fast and many explosive crown fires it kicked off.

My square body was a great truck but that was a long long time ago.

My 77 F250 was the best truck I ever owned. Not a single piece of electronic crap on it. Didn't even have a key in ignition bell. That truck was so damn easy to work on. You could literally sit in the engine bay when changing the spark plugs. No manufacturer makes them like they used to. lol

If the truck is stripped down they seem to be reliable. Curious how my parents fully loaded duramax holds up, but they barely drive it.
