Thought that might finally be the 6th gen... We've had the 5th gen for 11 years now with almost no updates. I still don't understand why anyone would buy a brand new 5th gen these days. As much as I hate it, Toyota must be raking in the dough on these things. Same with the 2nd gen Tundra.

    Is that a 4runner?

I recommend straps for both the reasons you stated above. If you have access to a welder then limit straps are easy. Get the Eimkeith LCAR, it comes with the limit strap tab that integrates the lower shock bolt. I also recommend getting the adjustable clevis so it’s easy to dial in the strap as...

    New Bronco

I think they did because all the V8 fanbois were mad that the 2nd gen didn't have a V8 option. I don't think it had a whole lot to do with the TRex. Coulda had some influence, but I think Ford wanted to listen to their customers and deliver what they wanted for the past few years.

Nah, V8 is too heavy for a modern vehicle. The Raptors did the right thing with the EcoBoost V6. Great power and less weight. The seem to be pretty solid on reliability too. That being said, I am putting a V8 in the BeerRunner... :deadbanana:

8" Straps The LCAR comes with the limit strap tabs. You just gotta order the clevis kit for the upper mount separately to be able to dial in the strap and adjust it as it wears/stretches.

We'll see how it goes. Toyota has their own issues, and they are not very innovative on anything. Especially in the past decade. Tundra has been the same damn thing for 15 years with mild facelifts. 4Runner has been the same thing for 12 years with almost no improvements. Tacoma has barely...

I'm pretty excited to see how these new broncos stake their place in the industry. Who knows, maybe in ten years I'll have one to beat up.

I ordered some PRP limit straps for the new rig from OptOffroad. They aren't on the site, but if you email them you can get some. Also get some LCAR stuff from @eimkeith to mount the straps. Also if you plan on rebuilding your shocks at any point, you can pull or shorten the spacers that limit...

On these rigs, the most common reason the spindle snaps is the UBJ binds. Easiest way to combat this is for properly setup limit straps.

I need to get some of those spindle gussets. Something I've been forgetting about. Whitelines are a great upgrade for sure. I just did them last weekend on the new rig. Much firmer and more responsive.

Oof! And I thought my $12.68 was bad on my brokerage account. That was only high because I accidentally bought instead of sold at $23
