    F/R Locked Podcast

I just finished all 3 episodes. I really enjoyed it. It's inspiring to hear the stories of breaking shit and and figuring it. Good info on what spares you guys carry as well. No idea what you have planned but I look forward to more trip stories including the good and bad. You guys gel in...

Last thought on my truck. I continue to be amazed at the lifespan of the parts. 400k+ on the original wheel bearings and coolant hoses (they are still fine). Hell, I replaced the front brake pads the first time at 180,000 miles. In the 1990's I was replacing bad wheel bearings on 3 year old...

The cylinder walls were smooth as can be. I don't have before shot of the top of the heads but they looked like 40,000 miles not 400,000! Mobile 1 has been worth it all these years. I left the bottom end alone because it has never used oil, never smoked, and it doesn't leak from either the oil...

Flex test for clearance-ing purposes at THE eimkeith R&D Center. I have spoken for a rear bumper. Since I balked (at first) on doing a body lift I get to wait until he gets that version done.

That weekend my buddy was camping in his Tundra and I decided a needed to move from ground camping to a RTT... Scored this old one for $420 on CL and it works perfectly. Nothing says Overland AF as an RTT that literally says Overland on it, in big letters. Right?

Installed the 99+ center console and the BH3D rear cup holders at some point. Also did the LED interior lights. Very useful additions for me.

I did the Tundra Brake Upgrade, replaced the front axles, and the rear u-joint shortly after that as well. I will say that the PCK made a big difference in how the truck drives. Any 4 link rear suspension is going behave differently when you lift a vehicle. And adding these brackets really...

After all of that I got the PCK installed. Funny thing is, I bought one of the first ones eimkeith made. Just never got around to making him install it for me. Here are some pics of that happening.

I left the bottom end alone. It started on the first try and have put 30,000 miles on it without issue. In fact, it runs better than ever and still to this day it does not burn oil. Oh, leaning across the radiator I managed to cause the top tank to leak so I replaced it a few weeks later. It was...

So I pulled the heads and had them reworked. Replaced the al the gaskets and what not. Did the timing belt and water pump while I was in there as well.

In February of 2018 I had a thing happen. On the highway something went wrong and I had noticeable power loss. A compression test revealed a weak cylinder. I did not have any coolant loss or overheating so I wasn't sure what I would find. Turns out after 374,674 miles the carbon build up caused...

In October of 2017 I installed the SPC upper control arms, Spidertrax, and 285/70/17 Firestone MT2's. I cannot say enough about how much I love these tires. (2 years and 45,000 miles later they are still not noisy or cupped and have 30% tread left.
