Almost back to normal. Got the new PCK welded on today by @icetreye I seriously missed it this last week driving around. Soon as I pulled out of Kevin's driveway I was in heaven again as far as handling.

I need to crank the fuck out of these coilovers. I think I'm at like 1" of lift and it's certainly noticeable. Once that's done, I just need to reset my bumps to match the axle position and I'll be good again. 2 weeks until dirt. I'm crazy happy with the new shocks on pavement, can't wait to see how they do in the desert.

Was doing some pretrip maintenance today for the first run since I put the ads shocks on. Had to crank my passenger coilovers 5 spins total and my driver side 8 times to get them even and get some lift back in the front. Still need the coils to settle too since I only have about 50-60 miles on them.

Couple years ago I lost a caliper bolt on the way to meet a guy to buy a RC crawler. He managed to find one on his Tacoma that would fit and I've been using it since. Turns out it was a little stripped.

Any normal person would call off their trip until the dealership opened up to buy a new bolt. But fuck that. I need dirt time. So I pulled the same bolt off my Tacoma and it tightened up perfectly. Hahaha. #builtnotbought #niggarigged #imgonnadieoneofthesetimes.

Kinda shows how important pre and post maintenance and bolt checks are. If that one had let go it would have been my 3rd lost caliper bolt. Been lucky so far so now I check the important shit before going out.

Exhaust gaskets, bolts and springs.

I've had at least one leak before the muffler that I know for sure here because it drips on cold days.

I can also smell it leaking at the engine bay so I'm hoping it's just gasket and not header gasket. So I soaked everything down and hoping to replace them all this weekend. If this doesn't do it then I'll tackle the headers.

Got my copper line ARB repair kit. Comes with a union kit so if there's enough left you can connect rather than replace.

This is my spare air seal from when ecgs replaced it with a new setup after I screwed up my original install. So I'll fix this one and fix the one that's in there so I have a trail spare ready to go.

Tomorrow's project if it stops raining long enough. I've had this license plate frame camera and wireless setup since Christmas. Hopefully it straightens out my license plate some.

While I have the head unit out I'm gonna install this little bitch which will allow me to view rear video without my ebrake being on, as well as bypass the ebrake to watch videos on the head unit. Once I route my head unit power to the house battery this will allow the kids to watch movies on a 6" screen while the adults get tanked.

Did you try just grounding the parking brake lead from the HU pigtail before getting a micro bypass?

Naw, it was only 10 bucks for the bypass and the original instructions were to tap into the parking brake wiring. With my abs wire broken in the rear the truck always thinks the parking brake is on already. Along with a multitude of other lights on my dash.

It depends on the HU but usually you can just ground the parking brake lead to the case and watch all the vids you want while driving. Some of the units put out in the last 2 years require a double pulse which is why the micro bypass was made. They are cheap though and they don't hurt anything.

Yeah mine is a newer pioneer so I don't think you can ground it. I don't care so much about watching videos while driving, I just really didn't want to cut into my ebrake wiring so it could be used at camp. Just one more small thing while we're setting up camp to keep the kids occupied. I doubt I'll use it that often since Robbie is a fire bug and once that's going he just wants to light sticks on fire. Haha.

It'll help me back into parking spots at the mall better. I can't see shit behind me, never have been able to. Swing out made it worse.
