Workin workin working. New job is AWESOME. I'm sure it'll feel like work pretty soon but I'm in that stage of learning everything and getting to use the fun gadgets still.

Gonna work on my bike project some on Sunday. When my tax return comes in I'm gonna start ordering parts.
I like that phase where it's all still new and exciting. But it will come to a end and new challenges will be there but I like that too.

I'm on the job hunt too.
What are you doing now? Congrats on the new job!

Missed your post somehow! I'm working for a company that builds simulators. My job consists of building PC's and other components. Hours are flexible as long as I am there at least 40 per week. I also don't have anybody micromanaging me, as long as I'm being productive I can manage myself. So I just put in my headphones and build stuff.

We're hiring a bunch of claims adjusters for our liability decision unit. Investigating losses and making liability decisions. No injury handling.
Word of warning it's primarily CA losses and you'll quickly hate CA even more than you possible could now. Starting pay around 50k salaried after 6-8 probationary training period initial pay around 46k hourly. Lots of different paths once you get in.

Where is the office located? What type of experience do they want?

I've been searching for a field service technician type position.

Office is based in Chandler but right now it's 100% remote until July at least then possible part time office and majority remote.

I know our auto group is hurting too for total loss adjusters and damage writers.

Liability determination is an mid level roll most come on with 0 insurance experience. But from my own perspective having an insurance background and understanding policy language was a huge help.
Auto damage side they usually look for a background in estimate writing etc

I'd be interested in trying. My resume will show 0 experience.
I sent you the link but I can check Monday when I log in and see if there's a referral link which will may give you a little priority.
If you'd like to discuss the role and different paths in more detail I'd be happy to discuss with you. It's a bit much to type out but long story short if you have people skills have a good intuition for investigating and can keep your desk/ work organized it's not difficult work just never ending cycle of claims.

I replied to your PM, thanks. Being empathic and compassionate to someone trying to screw the company or someone who is most likely already irate and screaming at me may be an issue :)
I do certainly have plenty of customer service experience and can be pretty investigative at times!

Lolol i get it. For the most part our insureds aren't the ones mad. Usually it's the other party in a word vs word loss. That's the easy part sometimes and sometimes fun part.

In a nut shell: Two way comms, GPS installs and tracking on fleet vehicles, remote control locomotives.
Bachelors in electronics and very mechanically inclined. Most of all I'm reliable.
