Looking for anyone with experience, ideas, etc on how to increase fuel capacity in the stock location of this truck. Milage is decent, but MAN would it be nice to have more fuel and not have to fill up so often. trying to avoid a fuel cell mounted else where, but open to suggestions. Love to hear what you all may think.

You can look into adding an auxiliary tank in the spare tire location. I moved my tank there, but I'm sure you can make it perform as an auxiliary tank. Mine is 18 gallons.

That does certainly seem like the only option out there from my previous research. However, I still use the spare tire locations for my spare, so I am trying to avoid putting it in the bed. I use the bed a lot for hauling, camping, etc.

Well you don’t really have any other options then. The tank in the stock location is as big as it can get. In he bed fuel cell or spare location is all you have to work with. Get a swing out bumper and use the spare like location, but that’s pretty costly

Gotcha. Yeah, sounds like I have to find a new location for the spare. Was just hoping someone out there had seen something I missed and had a lead on how to get more out of the stock location.

What about making a tire gate? I tried talking @Hank into making one but he didn't like the idea. What's cool about he tire gate is you can flip it around for more clearance or more bed space. Or you can build it where it is more vertical but still hanging off the back to keep bed space and clearance. Just tossing some ideas around.

@AssBurns Thats actually really cool idea. I hadn't thought about being able to flip it around for hauling vs. wheeling. I do have a camper top that might make it a little tricky, but I really like the out of the box idea.
