They offer an 8.2 and a Dana 60 not a 9" I'd love a 9" based axle but I have a feeling the future of my truck involves a SAS (this may be in a couple of years) so I'm trying to plan ahead for that. I also may just run my current axle till it explodes or bends but my truck is now pretty light all things considered so maybe I can run it longer than I think.
Even with a SAS, a 9" is a better choice IMO if you already plan to spend bookoo bucks on an axle. The reason so many people go with the D60 or 14b is they are strong and cheap. If you are trying to save some dough, just pick up a junkyard D60 or Sterling 10.25, then weld on your own spring perches, and get some 6 lug hubs.

Gotta think the competition rock crawling and U4 guys run 9" axles too

I bashed on mine pretty good and never really bent it. I think it had a slight tweak, but not enough to affect the axle shafts. Only reason I replaced mine is because I destroyed one of my lower shock mounts and the slight tweak that was showing on alignments. 850 bucks for a full axle housing and I kept the spare parts or else I would have had my 200 core reimbursed.

Mines a smaller truck but bashed on my 8 in e locker with 39s for some time with no issues. Less weight the better and ditching the camper will help a lot.

Assburns is right.

Nothing wrong with a junkyard axle. A D60 will happily run big tires and get best on HARD. Parts aren't just everywhere, they're cheap and everywhere. If you sneeze in a rural area, you'll probably hit a D60.

The sterling is a great axle too, parts aren't quite as cheap. But it's also stronger than a 60 by some measure.

I’m not opposed to a junkyard 60 by any means we’ll see what happens with my stock axle for now

The D60 Bible on Pirate4x4 is your friend if you decide to go down that route. Tons of good info in there. This also future proofs you if you end up thinking about SASing later on down the road. :gossip:

So frustrating cause I was told "oh ok well ship them back to us and it'll be $130 per shock to fix"

Didn't realize that was gonna be an added cost lol
Its extremely easy to rebuild these shocks at home. Main thing about the home rebuild is having a source for the nitrogen refill. A seal kit for each shock averages 12-15 bucks. The price for shock oil is ridiculous though, about 50 bucks for a gallon. Most everyone will prefer the Fox Red shock oil.

Helps to have a coil compressor too.

Yea and I won't need a coil compressor because it's the rears that are leaking, I need to rebuild my WR450 front forks now cause they're leaking too so I may just do them all in a weekend haha.
