Total Chaos Spindle Gusset Brake Clip Relocation Question.

Well, I got some Tacoma braided steel lines from Trail Gear via Wheeler's Offroad. I liked the idea of eliminating the hard line. With any luck, I'll be doing the next big swap of parts in a week. Fingers crossed. This is what I got. >>...

Total Chaos Spindle Gusset Brake Clip Relocation Question.

I see on the other page that a few people are ditching the hard lines and replacing it with Tacoma braided steel lines. They say that they come with a clip that can be attached to the spindle by drilling a hole to mount the clip that comes with the line. As long as it is mounted out of the...

Total Chaos Spindle Gusset Brake Clip Relocation Question.

Total Chaos Spindle Gusset Brake Clip Relocation Question. Got some TC spindle gussets welded on and something that I'd been meaning to address has been in the back of my mind. And NOW I remembered. What did you all do about the clip that holds the hard line on the original spindle? Did you fab...

    Firearms bullshit

Just an FYI for prior service and thinking about picking up a Glock. Glock is offering their Blue Line Pricing for qualifying individuals from Memorial day till Veteran's day. https://us.glock.com/en/buy/blue-label-program I have been thinking about picking up a G20 10mm for a trail gun...

The rig is looking nice man. I know exactly what you mean with the snorkel being a necessity after a 35 tub job. I realized that I would most likely lose my plastic wheel well liner due to the tub job. And looking at the intake, I saw that it would just be inhaling water from rain, road...

tubbing my firewall - need wheel & tire data for 35 & 37s

Hahaha.. What does your battery situation look like now? I thought that you had a battery box. I am looking into a different battery and or battery box for more secure options as my dumb 24F Bosch is moving towards the engine. It. Never. Ends. It's just important to go enjoy it. I have SPC...

Brake job. Pad swap turned into replacing frozen Napa caliper. Pain in the ass. Helped my friend clear his 285/75/17s. His Falkins are only a hair shorter than my 315/75/16s.

Thanks man! I'm really digging how everything finally turned out. As far as the tub and welding job went, I know when something is beyond my skill set. I would have set my shit on fire. Good for you for trying to get at it yourself. It turned out great! You rig is looking unstoppable with...

Yeah... It was a bit of a bummer. His insurance covered it. He bought back the salvage title 4Runner, and payed off his loan left on the vehicle. He got lucky because it was an expensive road to go down. We did most of the work collectively, but man oh man... That was not a fun fix. For...

Thanks man! It's been a long expensive journey. So, as far as my friend's woes... We think that his dismount was broken before he attempted the hill. The hill is made of very loose shale that lent itself to a fair amount of tire spinning if you're not careful. So on the way up the hill we...

So now we are up to speed for the most part. Some pics are Quentin Tarantino like, as they are out of order, but the theme is the same. My buddy Paul gave me a hand this weekend cutting and welding to make things work. With the SPC UCAs set to "G" the wheels are set as far forward as...

I was on a spending tear. I picked up some Cooper STT Pro 315/75/16s. Added TC cam tab gussets, replaced LCA bushings with Whiteline bushings, and grinded a bit off my Savage skids where they were making contact with the LCA at full droop. Still needed to clear for the 35s at this point...

Rear ARB locker and 4.88 gears installed by Nils Bull at Bull Built Diffs. Very cool guy who knows his diffs. Also a time to catch up on some maintenance. Gear break in with new gear oil cycled in. Built a plastic spacer to give my rear skid some stand off room around the transfer case...

Naches wheeling and camping trip Pt. 2. This was definitely more of an offroad challenge. One of the guy had broke a front diff mount, CV, and rear ring. Oh.. And oil pan. The rest of the trip was a recovery.
