That is really cool!!! I don't NEARLY asuch as most of you guys, but nonetheless, I wish I could afford a place with my own garage so I could work on my own truck. Anyways, can hardly wait to see this thing running. :playball: Very NICE man!!!

Same... A couple people I still talk to from time to time on... that other site... recommended them as well. Anyways, an EXTREMELY long story short, while I was finishing up on that EGR issue, which is done btw, I still had other things that I wanted to check out. I found out that I have a...

    SoCal BS Thread

Most of the night last night here in the SD area was a steady rainfall. Then there was a short break. Then earlier today there was a steady rainfall and then just DUMPED WATER for maybe 20min straight. It was raining so hard I could see a "small stream" forming the water was coming down so...

    1998 2.7L 3RZ-FE EGR P0401 insufficient flow

So far, the EGR monitor has already completed its "data cycle". It doesn't show in the picture, but the "CAT" and "EVA" (i.e. EVAP) are still blinking meaning the data cycle gathering has not completed and the EVAP typically takes the longest to complete. Anyways, the EGR is now okay and...

    1998 2.7L 3RZ-FE EGR P0401 insufficient flow

So, I replaced the EGR valve, mainly just because the truck is a '98. Anyways, the P0401 code came back and I was pretty upset that it did. I'm reading/watching information other people post/upload and they make it seem pretty damn complicated??? Well, I'm here to tell you that sometimes the...

    1998 2.7L 3RZ-FE EGR P0401 insufficient flow

So, I am going to attempt to create a video. It's been quite some time since I've edited a video. Anyways, I plan on showing how to install it and things to check for. @FreshSeaBass the EGR bolt/nut thread is: M8x1.25 Tried the double-nut approach to remove the threaded rods that are on the...

    1998 2.7L 3RZ-FE EGR P0401 insufficient flow

Okay, well mine is a '98, but I do know they throw a stick up the butt to measure the emissions. My NOx numbers would likely go through the roof and/or barely pass. But yeah, I just started the thread to ask about if anyone knew how to go about removing the OEM "threaded rods" and it might help...

    1998 2.7L 3RZ-FE EGR P0401 insufficient flow

That is a very good question and did not know that it will not throw a code? I missed that part of that delete mod, apparently. Yeah, they do a quick visual inspection, but I don't know if they would immediately catch that or not with a missing EGR? Wouldn't my NOx be raised quite a bit...

    1998 2.7L 3RZ-FE EGR P0401 insufficient flow

I plan on going to Home Depot today to use their thread pitch tester that they typically have in the hardware dept area. I need to find out the thread pitch of the threads where the exhaust bypass pipe attaches to the EGR. But, if I can remove the threaded "rods" on the OEM EGR, I would just...

    1998 2.7L 3RZ-FE EGR P0401 insufficient flow

Unfortunately I live in Cali and I believe I wouldn't pass SMOG? Anyways, I heard of what you are talking about, but SMOG wise, I think I need the EGR in place? The cool thing about my engine, not an emissions thing, but anyways, I have the "balance shaft delete kit" done to my engine and even...

    1998 2.7L 3RZ-FE EGR P0401 insufficient flow

Hi guys, Randy here... So my ECL turns ON and my scantool comes back as P0401 "insufficient flow". I go to check my EGR modulator and it holds vacuum. I haven't checked the EGR Vacuum Switch Valve yet, but feel there is nothing wrong with it... Regardless though, I can't figure out how to...

I still have a 10mb Seagate HDD with the, I want to say, an RLL/MFM disk controller card. Either way, it still works or did work. Been quite some time since I last messed with it. I also have a system with 2x Seagate 25mb HDD using, I want to say, an ST11R disk contriller card. The ST11R card...
