    Fabricators Corner

I've thought a ton about doing this, but I'm also a tool hoarder and don't really have a use for one right now :-D

Well shizzle, was waiting for a lefty, but now this might be an option.

    EVAP Canister Delete

Did this and ended up with a P0440. Not too concerned about it since we no longer have smog testing in WA.

    3rd gen 4Runner ac system?

Definitely want to replace receiver/dryer tank whenever that system gets opened (88471-34010). It'll be right next to the passenger headlight up front behind the grill. Replaced my condenser recently after smashing it pulling the crank pulley off and once that is exposed to the atmosphere, it'll...

    Tire Siping

Generally speaking, siping tires actually help prolong their life, at least for road tires. It helps to dissipate heat which helps with wear. For this reason alone I always have spent the extra $$ to get this done when purchasing new tires. Anyway, off-topic.

    Fabricators Corner

Not doing a SAS or anything, but started on making the first actual custom piece for the 4Runner. Been wanting to replace the chinsy bracket that I have supporting the dual battery tray up front from moving around: I'm not a welder and it's been since high school since I've even done...

    lol

I've been up the Ghost River Valley a few times for ice climbing in the winter and I know the access has changed since I've been there (at least in the GBU area). Generally, in the winter (Dec 1 to Mar 31) it's open for 4x4 past the junction and all the way to the wilderness boundary. I've been...

Custom Air Intake using an OEM Paper Filter

I eliminated the need for the barb on the replacement pipe for the intake silencer with a "T" fitting. This is on a 99, so it may be different depending on what year your rig is. You can see it here on the driver's side of the timing cover:

    Sway Bar Removal

I've been running without them on a 99 4Runner for a while. Just did this to a set of replacements that I'm thinking of swapping in: Not sure how I feel about whether they'll be able to be cleaned up enough for my taste to swap in. I mangled the bushing sleeves when pressing out the old...

    Let’s talk LS swaps

Yeah, the biggest obstacle would be figuring out how to keep the 4WD. His Tacoma is just 2WD.
