Making a set of arms for stock mounts on 4runner (w Keith’s reinforcement brackets).

Lower rears using 2.63 Ballistic joints, cups on both ends; non-adjustable lowers. 1.75 DOM.

Q: does the tube need to be offset low on the front cup for clearance? Just noticed these by Resz have offset. Is this for arm clearance or zerk access or? Can 1.75 tube be centered on 2.63 diameter cup?

Thanks. I’ve seen a couple that are centered. Maybe Resz did it for zerk clearance.

I don’t mean to be the weld police, and I generally roll my eyes when people make comments about ugly welds to young guys that just want to cut shit up and make things in the garage... but is that the picture he uses on his website? I’m sure it’s structurally sound, but after welding up a couple sets seems like they might look a bit nicer.

i made my old joints centered and it worked out fine. With full size joints you’ll need to notch the mounting brackets a bit but not hard or a problem. I have a link on my build thread for my old links I made.

Thanks. You position zerks on top, facing inside rotated back as much as possible?

Well they were threaded shank joints so I couldn’t choose where the zerk was even if there was a zerk fitting. My duroflex joints didn’t have zerks though

These are from his site. Maybe just using old pictures?

Here's a set I installed a few months back (top):
