I overexaggerated the camber it was only -2.5 but alignment for now is 1/8 toe in which will change since the steering has some serious play I need to fix. Caster is 6 camber is -1. I am considering pushing the LCA backwards to the middle position to help out the steering angles

Some IFS poser having to flex from the back tire with mismatched tires I’m pretty happy with 37” to the bottom with 30psi in the tires

Flexed from the front tire and I am honestly way surprised how well it did. 34” to the bottom. No bumps or straps right now so it will get worse but let’s not talk about that. The front barely flexes till the rear is tapped out then it will flex another 7-8” before it picks up a tire.

Buttoned up the suspension, aligned for now at 5 to 5.5 caster -.5 camber and zero toe. Might add a touch of toe since it feels a bit eager to turn. Return to center is super nice with the higher caster.

tried some 2.5” superlift jk springs in the rear to lower it and it only made .75” difference but they didn’t fall out on droop. I might hang on to them a bit, kinda wishing I just left them in now and see how they settle but too late for now.

Driver front clears a 37 at full bump lock to lock outside of the outer fender trimmed for 35s. Passenger side I didn’t want to re tub and was running out of time so it is bumped about 1/2” short and only cleared for 35s. Fenders trimmed for 35s to the point there is almost no point in keeping them.

Cv axles clear coilover at full bump and I cannot find any binding issues through full travel either side. It is strapped about 1/2” short of full droop on both sides to allow some stretch. Full droop is then limited by limited by the shock length on both sides, then upper uniball next. There is no CV bind that I can feel even with coilover at full droop past where limit straps bottom out. I have not measured travel with bumps and straps so I don’t want to make any claims but I would guess 14-14.5

also a drop test video because why not.

Drove it back to STL no problems and the pit bulls on method bead grips to test out.

tested rear locker since I haven’t used it since the new rear third member and it cycled fine and holds air. Tested front and it is pissing air out of the breather. Fuck me

if anyone has reccomendations let me know. Doubt I can get it figured out before wheeling tomorrow but hopeful I can get something working for it before next Thursday for Toyota jamboree in tx.

Haven't had any issues with my front locker, but on the rear I ate the copper line a couple times because it was tweaked when I put the 3rd into the diff. Seal issues maybe? Has it ever worked right? Is the air line tight on the nipple?

Working fine for past three trips I had it on. It has never cycled the compressor after the initial engage for me.

It still engages but cycles every 10 seconds. I was in 2wd when testing but I figured that wouldn’t matter.

I haven’t touched the front air lines and I’m pretty sure it is inside the diff since the breather is blowing air.

I’ll probably still use it this weekend if I can’t get it tomorrow morning. If it blows axle seals I’ll fix them next week.

Bringing this up to speed for anyone interested in an update.

Front locker has worked for me since the scare in April. it cycles every once in a while but always locks when I need it.

I have had it out few times since checking in.

In Missouri I swapped the wheels for bead grips, also beat on it pretty hard for 2 days. No burping of air all weekend at 8psi. Saw limiter a few times climbing up ledges and some high speed on the more boring trails. The long travel is super plush but easy to bottom out jumping or on g outs. when I woke up in the morning an outer tie rod was a banana. I decided to run a trail with it anyways and it failed on a big hill climb as one would expect. got it swapped out quick and drove it back to TX no issues.

Toyota jamboree was the next weekend and I wheeled for 4 days without breaking. Got to put a few miles on it which was nice.

Over the two months I just took it out on gravel roads and played around driving it in town and crawling on loading docks etc. Bent 4 different outer tie rods doing this. Rebuilt inners and I have not had issues since. I think it was an angle issue making them weaker.

Took it out to Barnwell with a group and got one night of wheeling in and broke another intermediate shaft quickly in the morning. I pulled it apart, drove home, swapped one in and drove back in a couple hours and wheeled that afternoon without breaking.

I then pulled the shocks off to rebuild and tune. I'll post stats in another post but stiffened up comp and rebound front, shortened hydro bumps and stiffened comp and lightened rebound, lightened up comp rear.

Went on another quick day trip to Barnwell after getting it back together, did one green trail and went to play in the rock garden, bound it up and broke another intermediate shaft. got pissed off and drove home. Shocks felt decent but I didn't get much testing in. also had a headlight dangling again so I ripped it out

Swapping another one in today to take it out tomorrow again. This is my last manual hub intermediate shaft but it is a new OEM so fingers crossed I learn how to drive (unlikely) or it is a bit stronger haha.
