Well I'm sitting in an awful 3 hour lecture, so lets try and fill in what I can.

My dad purchased this 4Runner in April of 1996, and just a short time later, I was born (July 1996). He grew up 45 minutes from Denver, was use to going up the passes etc. Growing up in Southern California, we would head into Anza Borrego on occasion and the road trips to visit family in Colorado. Point being, I remember growing up in the ventless backseat of this truck haha. My mom daily drove it for some time, and then it kind of sat as my dad's truck to take to Home Depot, or go hunting in. Slowly got more and more neglected until I started realizing that it would become mine when I was 14 or so.

Joined T4R.org and what use to be SoCalFJ's, and went on my first real wheeling trip. Pancake Rock. Open diff, 31's, and sway bars. Beast ;)

Somewhere around the end of high school, I decided I liked wheeling. Picked up some more shifts at the golf course across from my high school, and bought 255/85/16's and a Toytec Ultimate lift.

Met up with Savage Off-Road and got some Sliders too

This was a good group. Shane (Jesus looking one) moved to Idaho, Jonathan (Some know as @Broker) moved back east, Zach is still on TW but isn't on this forum.

Boner city over here! Funny that you didn't like the MT/R's. Your truck pretty much finalized my decision on MT/R's. I always like them but never justified the cost as being practical. I was looking at different tires and during that time, you must've posted something and I just decided then and there that I needed some. A couple months later I bought a set. Now I'm looking at your rig thinking "how do I justify not going to 37's?" I really don't want 37's, but at the same time I really want 37's hahah

I love love loved my MTR’s. They were just egg-shaped and didn’t balance for shit. But they hooked up better than any tire I’ve ever run or seen. Definitely miss that level of traction

I've been debating on trying a different set of tires just to try something different, but I just love them too much to try something new. They hook up amazing. I having had any balancing issues either. They aren't perfect but not bad at all.
