Well got @4runner DOA’s links made today. They are made of 2” x .250” wall DOM, so they are BEEF! No way he’ll fuck these ones up.

He used Currie Johnny Joints. Part numbers are:
CE-9114L-14 for LH Threads
CE-9114-14 for RH Threads

Let me think for a second.

Got it.

He doesn't tighten the jam nuts well enough. Months go by and he never double checks them. On Odessa attempt #4 he's slowly crawling along when they finally unthread from the Curries and fall the fuck out.

Possible? lol

Happened to his current links on Doran. The link fucking fell apart as I was spotting him

We had to pull the joints back off and rethread the links back together.

Huge thanks for the help on these. Can't wait to get them on the rig.

Haha, naw I've always checked my jam nuts. It's part of the pre trail check. The problem on Doran wasn't the nuts unthreaded, it was there wasn't enough threads holding the end in the link so it stripped out. Fortunately there was enough to get them back in.

Any concerns about contact with the axle at droop? - since the mount is so far back?

A bit. We'll see next week. Worst case I have to have the axle side rod end out further than the frame side rod end so it pushes the link/jam nut away from the axle.

5 coats of paint, 2 coats of clear coat (because I grabbed a can by accident so why not) and they're ready to go. Almost too pretty to scratch up.

Full droop. Mind you I have a hair over 9" of shaft with these ads extended travel shocks. Jam nut is just touching the axle on the driver side, it's flat on the passenger side there's a cunt hair more space.

So if I really wanted to fix that, and I just don't fucking care at this point, I could knock the frame rail rod end in a couple turns, and the axle side rod end out and it would completely clear. I'm at roughly 29" from bolt to bolt right now.
