Driveline got fixed but not before getting the best of Harry and I in Escondido this morning. We gave up and took it to Driveline Vista, they got it sorted, drove home, reinstalled...same noise. Fuuuuck.

Bad diff. Double wammy. Doesn't make noise on jack stands and gets crazy bad after 20mph. Ujoint was bad, but probably blew the diff doing some tuning runs either Wednesday or Thursday and it started making noise Thursday evening on the way home from work. Full power runs... had a feeling the supercharger was gonna eat diffs on a regular basis. Meh.

Diff is under warranty. It'll get fixed ASAP (don't have to wait for a mail order replacement) and we're going to run that while we build up a new Currie solution. This will be a Tacoma specific application with a Detroit locker, Toyota outers for the speed sensors, 5/8 lugs etc etc.

Preemptive fuck you to the assholes that won't be able to resist replying with grade school outbursts, and the rest if you are interested, this will probably become a new JD product. More info on the insta sooner than later.

That clunking is the rear end?
Fix it, sell the axle and get a 9" :boink:
I might have a semi-float 35 spline complete ford 9" axle for sale soon... :gossip: Trussed, disk brakes and all.
We're gonna do a custom axle from ECGS. Semi float, wheel speed sensors, Toyota outer and 5/8 studs with a Detroit locker. Will ship as a complete unit ready to go. JD pricing is even sweeter. It'll be an orderable product. Stay tuned.
Truck will get wilwoods all around at the same time. Probably order a 2nd axle and a spare 3rd with a box of bearings. It's just part of the maintenance cycle now.

I'm going to figure out a lift setup here at home so I can prep for the weekends. My back can't handle working from the ground. Spent Friday and Saturday getting up/down from the floor and feeling it good today.
