Am I okay using Super Lube 41150 multi purpose grease (PTFE) on my u-joints & slip yoke ?

It’s kind of weak shit tbh.
I use it at work for light use rails and even then it sometimes doesn’t always work.

I just use a black lithium moly grease for bearings and driveline. Think CRC makes it. Has a bit higher load rating than Superlube. I use superlube on my poly joints. Red N tacky has the best load ratings when you compare data sheets. Difference is just high load to extreme load.

I wouldn’t use that for ujoint. Won’t be oh shit, but you can do better. Search your feelings, you know it to be true. Any of the bearing grease at auto store.

I just made a quick road trip out to Harbor Freight and picked up another grease gun and got the CRC Moly Graph Extreme Pressure.

Looks to hit all the marks.

Lithium with Moly
Extreme Pressure rated

Plus, it was only $4.99

Thoughts @madtaco461 ?

That's the stuff I use on my truck. Isn't red n tacky crazy but gets the job done. My wheel bearings are still alive. I use superlube on precision linear bearings under light load and all my poly joints

I use that stuff on my uca's as those have poly bushings but use something similar to what you purchased on the drivetrain.

Perfect.

I'm going on a trip tomorrow through Sunday and wanted to make sure I get all the maintenance now out of the way. Especially given the fact that its gonna be dusty and a few river crossings. Gotta make sure all my stuff's lubed up and protected

I've already got this grease loaded up in my grease gun and wondering if its okay to use for my U-joints and slip yoke.

I know a lot of people run the Lucas Red n' Tacky.

Just want to make sure I'm okay using it or if I should go out and buy a new gun and grease.

Btw, stupid question.... but are you lifting your vehicle up when you're lubing up your UCA's ? or do you just loosen the thru bolt while the vehicle is on the ground ?

Lift it up, loosen thru bolt, grease, tighten bolt but not to spec. Once back on the ground I tighten the thru bolt up to spec.

Speaking of this, I should probably grease my vehicle again. No idea when last time I greased anything on it. It's been a long time.

I tend to hit my driveline before each trip, ucas when they start making noise.

I try and put 1-2 pumps in every oil change on the drive train.

I’ve just not done the UCA’s just yet. Want to make sure they’re taken care of BEFORE any issues pop up.

I’ll probably just do them once I’m back from this trip. I got access to a shop with a lift , so I’ll take care of everything then.
