Sounds like a plan. You'll need my rig there to tow you out when the jeep breaks. lol

It's still open but there's another storm rolling in Tues to Thur. They're calling for 7-11 inches in Mammoth Wednesday night. Mammoth and the Rubi are about the same elevation. I was hoping the drought would return so I could get a few more hard trails in this year. lol

You'll just have to come down here more it sounds like. No snow in the desert. Well, rarely. It's happened in Joshua tree a few times.

I've been snowed on in J-tree. More than a "few" times. It happens almost every year it just melts in a day.

As much as I like hanging out with you guys the 5 hour drives are killing me. There is so much wheeling out my backdoor. The Whites are a fun winter playground. The Sierra can be fun on a low snow year. You guys should just come up here. Tell @AssBurns to bring a welder. lol

Hahaha. Was gonna prerun JT but I'll probably spend the weekend centering my rear axle and setting up the shocks.

As much as I love toyota's and IFS, I still love jeeps. That's what I was wheeling with all weekend. The problem with jeeps is they aren't as good in the Go-Fast stuff even with better shocks and long arm. (Also, don't do a long arm kit *Radius Arm*, do a 3-link. Either a kit or DIY)
I was with an XJ this weekend that had 14" 3.0 3 tube bypasses up front with an anti-rock sway bar, 12" 4 tube bypasses in the rear, and hydro bumps all around and I was still able to keep up with him in like 90% of the stuff we did. IFSFFS

I love XJs.

I fucking hate every generation of wrangler. I can appreciate the older ones, but JKs and JLs make my skin crawl. The absolute least interesting off-road platform on the planet. I'm not arguing capability, they wheel like goats, but they make me sick.

Over the weekend in Anza, for every 10 trucks I saw, 7 were Jeeps and It was seriously driving me crazy. I hate wranglers so much. It's like they were breeding out there.

See I'm pretty much the opposite. I like XJ's, and I like ZJ's a little more because of the linked/coil rear suspension and V8 option, but I like wranglers WAY more (Except YJ's cause leaf spring...) I HATE unibodies. If I could build any vehicle to rock crawl, it would probably be an LJ.
Something about a stretched LJ on 1 tons and 42's...
