Thinking of getting the Howe steering pump from JD Fab. How noticeable is the improvement over stock?

out of everything that's been done to the truck, the pump and slide rack combination is unbelievably good. all hyperbole, mud slinging and shit talking aside... it's damn good. First drive was on 35s and took it off a curb (i know high flying antics over here) the steering wheel didn't move. put it into a 12" pot hole...you felt it but it didn't feel like that steering wheel was going anywhere. undeniably good.

My plan is to do the slide rack and Howe pump set up after gears but I may do it before gears but either way do it before any thing more than dirt roads. That will be with 285/75/17's

I am definitely planning on the slide rack also. Still not on their website but I am calling them tomorrow

Talked to Harry today. Slide rack, pump, and lower pivot kit heading my way as soon as they get some pulleys from Howe. Opted for the double shear kit as well as the heimed TREs.
Can't wait.
Need to see pics when you install them

Do quick steer while you are at it! :boink:

Harry was saying it's pretty amazing how much nicer it drives with the quick steering ratio.

some folks aren't ok with the steering feel change. it take some getting used to. mine is off for now and will go on for trailered trips.

Speaking of, f me trailer prices...
So you don’t want to drive it on the trail or the street now? Geeze. Went from a mall crawler to a trailer queen in no time :flipoff:

Just drive it to the trail. It can handle it if you don’t drive like a mad man.
