Yea man I have had that optic for like 12 years when I got it used. I don't want to drop the funds to get a new and lighter one.

Nice.

I used to run a CompC in a Larue mount.
Several times actually. I kept selling them and trying something else.

Ran an Aimpoint Micro for a long time (again several on different guns)

I want to get an RMR in a Scalarworks mount though.

I bet man i got two RMRs on a 1911 and a VP40. It’s a nice light little optic that is pretty robust. Many of my friends have the ainpoint micro, but an RMR could be legit on an AR.

Is that like a 300blk but based on a .308 instead of .223/556?
It looks like it’s based off the AR 308 which is effectively an AR10. The round looks like it is barely longer than a 5.56 round so the magazine looks tiny in the magwell

But the chamber pressures are likely way higher than what an AR15 was designed to deal with :noidea:

So I removed a A2 front sight yesterday with @whippersnapper02 ’s help. It was a royal bitch. We ended up using the two hammer method to loosen the pins (small hammer on the pin and another hitting the backside of it)

I think that was the ticket. You need a wide drift or punch to knock the pin loose before getting at it with a narrow punch.

These prices are crazy. I got my lower for $50 and guess what it holds a magazine and attaches to an upper and let's me pew pew accurately. I'll never understand safequeen obsessions

All said and done my AR is about a 1k rifle. It's pretty, but it's only a safe queen because it's too hot for the desert and I've been too lazy to go the range with it.

I’m not sure about that lower in particular but aero has a set screw instead of a roll pin on it’s bolt catch on their upgraded lowers. This little feature alone lessens the California problem of ever changing laws and legal devices

The item linked is for a 7.62 and it’s a set (upper and lower) so the price will be a bit higher. As far as is it worth it? Nah. I don’t believe so. Once you take it outside it’s going to get dirty, bumped, scratched etc. I do like to keep things nice looking as much as I can but realistically wear and tear will happen.

My SPR build started out with as many blem parts as I could get. Honestly could barely see what they considered a blem
