In all reality if you have to resort to using your AR or a AK why the fuck is it going to matter if it's legal or not after the brass stops hitting the ground.

It doesn't matter at that point.

But as others have said .. transporting it and ill also throw in if someone red flags you.
Already have to deal with the red flag would hate to have them throw unregistered "assault" weapon charge on top of it it as well as they are emptying your safe out.

don’t get red flagged then. Stop surrounding yourself with shit people and you’ll be alright.

You can do everything you can short of moving out of state and some Karen will still be in your business

Only someone with direct relation to you can, Or employer n such. Some doodoo head off the street who you cut off can’t call you in saying you’re a menace.

I think I’m over magpul stuff. It’s not magpul’s fault they made nice things but the laws in California are pretty fucked and our ARs are fucked because of it

Featureless is the way to go it seems. Never cared about flash hiders and vertical foregrips so that’s a non-issue. I usually put a collapsible (non thunbhole) stock in one position and only gets shortened in the case. This means a stock stop is a great solution. No one I know has a grenade/flare launcher on their AR (fucking anti-2A lawmakers are clueless). So that just leaves the pistol grip.

Back to the magpul thing: their PMAGs aren’t going anywhere. Their other stuff tho isn’t as attractive anymore. The grips aren’t featureless compatible. If I was going to go the break open route there are more comfortable grips out there. Their normal collapsible stocks require a stock stop and there are lots of alternatives here too. The UBR and PRS would need to be pinned. Like I really want to drill an extra hole in a $200 stock. No one I know uses their hand guards. Their bipod wiggles a lot. I’m not sure about their slings. There are plenty of competitors for backup sights, rail covers, even their BAD lever has a competitor now.

So I guess the industry has caught up to them and circumstances in this slave state have pushed me to look at alternatives
I'm super impressed with my featureless build, it's now my truck gun hands down when on the trail. Shoots just as good or even better than a standard build. Just need to get over the aesthetics of not having a pistol grip.

The few featureless guns I've shot I've hated the finger placement. Just didn't feel natural. I'm fairly happy with my setup, I think I just need to adjust the mag release block one or two more turns to keep the bolt from catching on the magazine at empty. We'll find out in a couple weeks if my adjustment worked or I need to rethink things. When it's playing nice I can crack, drop, and reload pretty quickly. For me right now it's more about being comfortable with the gun and shooting accurately. At camp I won't have time to grab the AR anyway, which is why I have the pistols.

I checked out just about every option and configuration that there was, and I wasn't happy with anything. Until I shouldered a rifle with a Resurgent Arms grip and their extended length safety selector. Pretty impressed with it. I now have a badass platform that shoots extremely well and is just a long gun under state law.

Okay that doesn't look too bad. My biggest problem with a lot of the featureless setups is my thumb position.
