If anyone can help me remove my skids and give me their stocker skid ill give you a really good deal on some relentless fab skids. Only reason I ask for help is because this involves removing the transmission bolts one at a time if you have the transfer case skid. I want to go with 3rd gen specific skid plates instead, these one are really starting to bother me. Cant get under there for my oil filter and no access to the transfer case either. Personally I think having the transfer case one is over kill. If it was only the mid and front skid this would not bother me. It seems like a fucking process and a half. I would rather have some 3rd gen specific aluminum ones. These skids new were worth in the 7-750$ ball park. They are clean to.

If you were local I'd give you my stock skid. My Tacoma will likely never see dirt that requires a skid plate.

I really like the skid plates but I dont like how I cant get to the transfer case at all, I dont even know how the tech even got the old oil filter cartridge out last oil change, and the 3rd gen can only push so much weight. It already has the steel sliders, 34s and the skids. I want to get the 3rd gen purpose ones that have all the stuff built in so you dont have to drop the skids for an oil change and are aluminum. I am at the point where if you can get them off take them for 200 bucks or something.

That stock piece of tinfoil is to protect against random rocks and debris on the road.

If the rain would stop long enough for the Jetta to dry out and I can start driving it again (the wipers are stuck on high speed, which sucks) the Tacoma is going to sit anyway. At this point I'll be spending my tax return on tires for it. I need to drain off the last bit of diesel, change the fuel filter, and fill it up with fresh fuel and see if that fixes the uphill issue I've been having. I'm beginning to think there's water in my tank because the trunk leaks so it keeps filling up with water. I need to drill some drain holes and fix the rubber boot that's missing allowing all the water into it.

Why do you need the ability to access the transfer case at all times?
