How hard is it to do a auto transmission flush for a 2nd gen Tacoma? I have never done one and since I hit 60K+ I need one. Don't feel like spending $120 that the local Yotapro shop wants to charge. I figure I can do that and install @Plastics Guy bump stops and grease everything up that needs it. I will have to go the Autozone to get the pump and fluids but firgure it still should be cheaper.

Just drain what is in the pan. Measure it and add the same amount in. Change that interval to 30k miles and you will be golden.

So I can just take the plate off my 17 taco & slap it on the 18 with no problems?

you have to go to DMV and they will change the plate in their system to reflect what vehicle it is on now. Don't put it on till you do that or you could get a ticket for display of fictitious plates. I would suggest going to a 3rd party DMV there will be a small fee but way faster than going to the main DMV.
