I think you covered all the stock length ones

It looks like with the TC ones you have to grind the steering stop down whereas on the DK you don't. Do you know if the DK or LSK arms are chromoly like TC?

No idea, I figure all those companies are dedicated to putting out a quality product so I doubt they’d cheap out when they’re charging so much. Could just call them up I’m sure

Side note: doesn’t look like the DK ones have bypass mounts and the LSK version with bypass mounts are out of stock. Don’t know if that influences your decision

Yeah I'll probably shoot them an email to check. That project is a few months away yet so I'm not in any hurry......just doing some background work. I've got TC uppers so I'd sort of like to stay with the same but why they didn't build in a stop for the steering bump without having to grind it off is an odd choice to me.

What are the options for aftermarket LCA's?

TC, DK, LSK, any others I'm missing?

I've had TC uppers and race lowers 5 years now. Yes you do have to grind the steering stop down and you may lose a tiny bit of turning radius. For me it was more noticeable when I had them on my 08 with the DB. They actually build up the chromolly right where the stop would hit, and still after all this time it's not a big mark where it stops.

Since moving everything to the 15 it's still one if the best mods I've done. I replaced the UBs at 60k for the lowers, but the uppers are still going strong.

TC is an awesome company. If you want to see what nearly 100k on a set of lowers look like, come see my truck sometime. Shit, I'm still on the original Poly bushings.

LSK stopped making LCAs for the Taco for awhile, I'm not sure if they are back in that game.

DK is the other. DK people will argue for delrin bushings and there thinner UB cup that won't hurt the radius.

Cool man. Yeah I have no doubt TC produces a great product - I’ve been happy with my uppers. It just seemed like an odd engineering oversight is all.

Looking at their website, LSK does seem to be back in the LCA game.

Don’t know much about LSK. TC and DK both seem to have a good reputation. I emailed DK today to see what they are making their lowers out of and whether they have greasable bushings like TC does - I don’t see any holes drilled for zerks on either the DK or LSK arms in any pictures I’ve seen.

DK just emailed me back - LCA’s are manufactured out of A36 steel and run about 1.5lbs heavier than TC. Price wise the DK’s are about $450 cheaper list price than the TC so seems a bit steep for marginal weight savings. The Delrin bushings are greasable just like TC. I’m going to see what Marie is quoting for the TC and DK arms.....
