Cool man. Yeah I have no doubt TC produces a great product - I’ve been happy with my uppers. It just seemed like an odd engineering oversight is all.

Looking at their website, LSK does seem to be back in the LCA game.

https://www.lsksuspension.com/product-page/05-tacoma-lower-control-arms-lsk1140

Don’t know much about LSK. TC and DK both seem to have a good reputation. I emailed DK today to see what they are making their lowers out of and whether they have greasable bushings like TC does - I don’t see any holes drilled for zerks on either the DK or LSK arms in any pictures I’ve seen.
Unless the arms are heat treated chromoly, you won’t notice any real strength difference. Even then, if the arms are well built, you shouldn’t need chromoly with stock length arms. There are plenty of legit long travel kits that run mild steel that hold up great.

DK just emailed me back - LCA’s are manufactured out of A36 steel and run about 1.5lbs heavier than TC. Price wise the DK’s are about $450 cheaper list price than the TC so seems a bit steep for marginal weight savings. The Delrin bushings are greasable just like TC. I’m going to see what Marie is quoting for the TC and DK arms.....

I can also quote you for TC. Avid and SDHQ I believe are the only dealers in AZ for them.

Clearance is important to me. I’ll have to check out the difference in height between TC and DK. Eyeballing them they sort of looked similar.

These are very different over the standard TC LCA that uses a UB cup adapter vs having a UB cup

@2ndGenJonny was your front bumper custom made or is Avid going to be making them on a regular basis? I like it!

Nope, you won't see this bumper again on another build.

That hybrid that Brandon did looks freaking beautiful!!!

I’ll have to look at the UB mounting options a little closer....

Thanks, it goes well with the rear HC.

Camburg uses a cup adapter for their LT kit as well, it's not a good design.

I back TC 100% They have been an amazing company to work with these last few years. There is a reason you see so many rally trucks running their kit.

Your mom's house.
Tiff's TC uppers in her 4 Runner have been solid and have had no issues. My buddies Tundra with TC uppers is squeaking like hell and we greased the bushings per TC's instructions which was to loosen the bolts first. Cleaned the UB with the dry lube TC's website said to use. Still having squeaking issues. Need to talk to TC and my guess is get new bushings. He has had them on his truck less than a year. Other than the noise/squeaks they have had no other issues.

Stumbles is correct and you can order the lowers NSS (no secondary)

My wheels are 4.5 BS and I did scrub the secondary shock mount a tiny bit at full lock. I ended up shaving the mount for awhile and eventually cut it off as I will never use a secondary.

They didn't have the NSS version when I purchased.

A36 is a very weak and soft steel... just FYI

I'm the opposite. I'm not a fan of spaghetti sauce. Usually I avoid spaghetti, but if I do eat it, I put very little sauce or a different type of sauce preferably.

I’m pretty particular about my marinara. Often I’d rather just have spaghetti with a bit of olive oil, crushed garlic, red pepper - con oglio style
