They MIG and TIG their 4130 $2k raptor spindle. That sucker gets chucked back into the cnc after welding. Figure they probably normalize it too.
I don't think the cute taco spindle isn't going to get this type of love being a smaller truck.

Okay so maybe around $1250 but if that means I can tube out my core support and bump off the top of the spindle or UCA then I might be in.

Lol camburg migs everything. I rarely see their stuff break so they must be doing it right on the production stuff.

Edit: besides the race trucks. Figure someone trying to correct me.

Time to benefit ratio of Mig vs. Tig on that shit is not worth it haha. Sure, certain parts. If I had the ability to TIG my LCA's, I would. But they aren't going to break anyways haha.

:popcorn3: I'll stay for the comments because I never had any formal training on welding.

I'm amazed when you bent that gusseted spindle in DV that you didn't destroy anything else.
Im betting that it would have been a total failure if it wasn't for the additional gussets that we added. These were originally the weaker Non Sway Bar version. The extra gussets were added as a repair after cracks were noticed at the bottom of the gusset and spindle..

We've seen a couple instances of failed spindles after gussets. @Tetten was one of them. I'm assuming these would eliminate that problem since you aren't heating up the stock spindle for the gussets.
I'm on my 3rd set right now, passenger side has my spare. I have a fresh pair that needs to get sent to @wheeleveryweekend who has something up his sleeve, we were discussing this this morning in fact. And that will be my 4th pair..

Those spindles are pricey, pretty much 750 bucks a side..no thanks

At that price I don't see the point unless you've already got a camburg kit. Anything other brand and you're asking for interference issues. But maybe that's just my attitude with all the new parts issues I've had over the last year and a half...... Cool that someone finally made one though.

Keep me posted on what he's got going. I have a spare set I need to get gussets on and I'd love to see what you guys come up with since you actually wheel the fuck out of your rigs.
